I know that there is a mention of Simpson's seed co on this board but I thought I'd post a pic of the catalogue and a link to the Capsicum/Chillie page.

They have a huge selection of just about every fruit or veg you could imagine...Please check them out for your summer selection....fabulous!

Chillies and Capsicums...No direct link so will need a search.

Spring will soon be here....Happy sowing!! guitar.gif

Can anyone recommend some compact plants no larger than 50 cm.. Not too bothered about heat, just good flavour..

Hi Pickle,

I can't get the link to work now or the website from a Google search so don't know what is going on there then! 34.gif
Jalepenos don't get too big but one that really stands out for me that I grew two years ago is Prairie fire which doesn't get any more than 8" high and the fruit are tiny too and loads of them poke up out of the top of the foliage like little red christmas tree lights and certainly no bigger.

Great for windowsills and quite stunning in full fruit.

ps ...good flavour too!

I just checked Simpsons web addy, their server seems to be down.

Anyhow thanks for reminding me, I have just updated the seed co’s list its here in case it passed you by. If you should find any new seed veg/flower sites pm me with a link and I will add them.

Do look at the The VidaVerde Seed Collection, I like their attitude and also Thomas Etty Esq have some heritage gem’s.

Cheers Ot,

I looked at the VidaVerde site and it's good to see they are preserving landrace chilli plants!
Will be ordering some sometime soon aswell.

I have just checked the Simpson's site and the link seems to be working now.

I've had a few seeds from these people over the last couple of years and they have been great, some are pretty slow at germinating up to a month for some peppers, so just leave the in the propergator, am I preaching to the converted?

Another good company I've used for years are chilterns seeds from Cumbria, they have a web site now, but the cataogue is fab, thousands of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, bulbs, veg, organic veg, completely mad stuff even if you don't buy anything it's good bed time reading.

I have added several more links to the veg/flower links page, if you have other links to good sites please send them to me by PM and not in posts please. TIA.

PS do you think a list of links of soft/top fruit suppliers would be of value?

Great idea Ot, if you get the time.
