Full Version: Anything I Can Do If I've Added Too Much Lime?

I basically messed up on this grow by adding 2kg of lime to 100 litres of B&Q compost which I thought was really acidic, but wasn't. I'm getting dry, rusty coloured patches on 1 of the 6 plants, so have added flower nutes with 100ml cidar vinegar in 1 gallon. The plants have vegged very well in the last 24 hours, turning a much better green.

The plants are 5 weeks old, under 24/0 250W HPS. I will be transplanting from 1 gallon to 2 gallon pots when sex is determined, so can break away some of the alkaline soil and replace it with something more neutral in 3 weeks or so. Just hoping they will last til then.

Is there such a thing as pH shock when transplanting from one soil to another of better acididy?
