Dude, I don't know if they still make those glass ones, but avoid them at all costs, shell out an extra couple of quid for a metal one. smoke.gif

dave whats wrong wiv the glass ones ? and were do they sell meatal one? cheers cool.gif

There's nothing 'wrong' with them as such, but if you forget to switch them off before you empty your res they will shatter. If ya drop it on the floor, it might smash.

I'll be honest and admit that I don't treat all my equipment with the care I should. I know that if I were using glass heaters, I would have gone through a dozen of them by now. I've still got the very first metal one I ever bought, and it works super-duper.

Where can ya get them?

Err, I've had a wee quick look through the 420 shop, and I don't seem to be able to see any in there, but that doesn't mean that they wouldn't be able to get you one.

If there isn't anyone from the shop on at the moment who would be able to tell ya for sure, ya could always try contacting them via this link

(Alternatively, you should be able to get a metal one in the same place as you would get a glass one, if that's any help)

I used to use the glass water heaters in my 20 gallon aquarium, on a few occasions i'd forget about it when I was doing total water changes but luckily i'd remember about it in time when you see the red light's on! lucky for me nothing bad happened guitar.gif
