Hi sirs and many thanks for yoru requests and interest about our Deluxe Mixes.

Since the beginning at CBG, we desired and decided to have some original lots in the market in this way.. as a Mix of 15 seeds with 3 seeds per strain into it.... some are just pure strains, others hybrids but mostly containing some of the genetics we have danced here for years smile.gif We thought this was a nice way to release some of these genetics compiled under Deluxe Mix name. Each lot goes until "out of stock" so they cannot always be repeated.

Since first Deluxe Mix (DLX MIX 001) until present Deluxe Mix 111017 a few years passed by. Each lot has different composition and each lot is well tagged (mix lot, composition and caducity date). Let me just list latest Deluxe Mix for better explaining:

are they individually labeled for each strain or is it a mixed potluck bag cheers yinyang.gif

Anyone growing sats or sat dom hybrids needs space, otherwise they would not consider growing them, 15 is nothing to grow out. I don't know, but if each var was individually packed, it would not be a seed mix. Everything written says so re:-

The general idea of growing out a diverse mix of genetic types like this, is to find a keeper or keepers of plants that you really like.

Its a chance to grow 5 crosses made from outstanding vars, all of which are outside the Dutch seed pool.

I would keep a numbered backup of each femail as soon as she shows sex, because one or more of them may blow your socks off and sure as hell you would regret it if you did not have a back up. Once you have something outstanding with care you can have it for as long as you still want it.

Why not keep an eye on my grow wink1.gif

Some of my sativa phenos are a bit scary - I'm hoping they turn out to be boys !

Hello sirs,

Sativas composing this Deluxe Mix wont last too long as most of those hybrids are designed for shorter flowering dates so you can have a nice results with them while maintaining a wide panorama of genetics. Sure outdoors can develope and stretch a lot bihehr and longer but their vigour and yields allows as well very good indoor results.

Hope you find what you look for and you enjoy them well. Thay will show nice and peculiar aromas and flavours.

Well pay attention to your grows. Hope we can help if needed wink1.gif

I agree OT1, I need to know what I am growing. I do not care for pot-luck, I need to know so that it is a referance for future practices and referal to such.

As to growing outstanding variations outside the Dutch seed pool, NJxOE comes immediately to mind on recent endeavours. I do have back-up, as does ACE and 420. First people I made them available to.

I hate 'growing in the dark' on 'mixes'. Breeders should state their wares and not let growers guess on a mix of sats and indicas. A huge variance in growing regimes, I might add.
I have had words as to this in certain quarters. We shall see.

Hi Embalmer, nice to read you again

Well sure is opinable. First time Deluxe Mix were released, we found it was a peculiar way to offer as I said before, some type genetics we could not see around at all. Some of the works were for ACE catalogues, some others for Deluxe Mixes.

As we started, we found many new young ppl was learning a lot trying to indentify the hybrids contained. As market was more mature around here as well, ppl wrote us more oftenly then asking us to tag each hybrid contained in different bags for the identification. Maybe in near future we will do but Deluxe Mix concepts are like that, a box of surprises.. like opening a box of undentified spices.

The presence and tendency of only feminized seeds into market right now will tend to make us decide I guess to maybe finish the release of these genetics but only for professional use let's say. But everything has a time, everything has its moment and its place. The lack of diversity not only in cannabis is been always one of our main worries and work turned out as a result of this. Soon we will be lacking even of cannabis males !!! and only endogamic selfcrossed hybrids will be in the market... You see time changes.. but biodiversity is not better at all.

I enjoyed a lot following your grows Embalmer. I was so hapopy as well as Dubi and ace crew and you all with the results. Thx for you help and continuos support as well.

best wishes. Take care
Kaiki

Hi there Kaiki,
may I ask what endogamic means in relation to self crossed hybrids? yinyang.gif

Hi there Kaiki,

Hi Rockster, I mean it as to differenciate among selfing and breeding widely said. We have been asked lots of time as if selfing was the only way of working hybrids. Wich I have understood like if the use the backcrossing was the only estrategy and not concibed as a part of a design of a hybrid. Crossing back to themselves will allow you to fix some traits you like from parental but very often you may wish how you would like your hybrid to look like or to bee and not only how hybrid will do unless this is particularly special or good enough to be maintaiend and reinforced as it is. Second part of the work doesnt use to be, at least for us, by selfing but for inbreeding to new generations and keep on selection adn designing. Also vigor observed in a regular F# breeding use to be stronger.

Yeah! hard in my english smile.gif
