ive got some afghani # 1 seedlings and was wondering if any of you have grown this strain before. anything that you can tell me is appreciated.

i have recently grown afhgan#1.

The strain i grew was from sensi and i am a bit weary of their genetics now. What strain do you have? I have heard the homegrown fantaseeds version is pretty good.

I had 12 plants , of which 2 where male but 3 where hermie. I suppose its better to have hermies than males as you still get a decent amount of bud off of them but these are the only seeds that have ever turned hermi on me.

One of the main charateristics i found with these plants is that they tend to flower late into 12/12 period -- approximately 23- 25 days.
The buds do, however, get massive and very resinous and the high is like being hit in the back of the head with a cricket bat. If you now what i mean. Pure indica, narcotic , body stone. V nice!

zungmonkey, i recieved seeds from the med seed project, another community similar to this one. all i know is they came from the seed swap club. i started with 10, but killed half of them cause i put my 250 mh too close. the one left are looking great with two sets of dark green leaves. how long did u flower till harvest, and how much size did the plants put on after 12/12? im in a 5.5 tall closet so short indicas are what i need. as for the narcotic stone, thats what i like for my anxiety. got some ubc chemo x romulan coming too from the same place. later.

I am currently growing some seeds of Homegrown Fantaseeds Afghani. As Zungmonkey says, it has a great reputation. So far the two seeds I have planted into my grow {it gets crowded!} have done very well. The first one went into 12/12 last week. Great looking plant, and I am looking forward to sampling her. Will let you have more info in about 8 weeks!

Taking 25 days to show.....Sensi must really be scratching around....from my outdoor experience it should show fairly quickly.....its one of the first to show outside in fact...meaning it didnt need 12/12 but 15/9 to go into flower...but thats outside so its not the same.
Im in Dam in 4 weeks and I think I'll pay a little visit, see if anyone is about for a chat.

Dunstin -- i grew them in soil and vegged for approx 4 weeks under 24/0. They where about 30 cm at the beginning of 12/12 and put on about double that during flowering, but due the dodgy genetics and varying phenotypes of the batch i had some which stayed quite short and some which where much taller. The range was between 50 and 80 cms at harvest. You can train them to grow shorter if required though.


puffer- yeah i was surprised at the time it took for these plants to show. As i had never grown this strain before i assumed it was just a characteristic of the strain. Could be gentic though. A mate of mine grew some silver haze from sensi recently. Great buds but a high percentage of males in the batch. Maybe he was just unlucky?

Its not just luck... a stressful upbringing can give you more males. (I mean the plants upbringing...not the growers )

Afghani should be fairly short, dense plants...almost christmas tree shape.
Moderately quick to finish..I think Hemp Playboy likes his Afghani.

Nirvana Afghani #1 did the job for me
I got 10 seed's from Gypsy, 10/10 germed 7/10 wer female and they averaged just under 4oz per plant with one huge 6oz girl
very easy to grow 50 day's flowering and 30 odd vegging
Has to be my best crop yet

Anyone else grow out HGF Afghani#1? I bought a pack like a year ago or so and still havent gotten around to popping them because I always seem to get something new so it get pushed aside.
