ok been a while since last posted but since then plants have gone from strenght to strength i roughly have about 3 weeks left on these and could do with others opinions

this problem has started to appear roughly within the past 4 / 5 days

Im hydro for those that dont know already

my cf level is 8 ph 5.2 - 6.4 ph over 24 hour period
when i make a mix up i leave to bubble with pump moving water / for 2 days before applying to plant however to be fair it doesent really make any differnce to ph rise ie once mix is finished ph will be 5.2, then 2 days later when i check again will be 5.2 however when applyed to plants will generally rise to 6.4 over a 24 hour period anyhow timers for feed are on 15 mins then of 1hr.

one thing i was curious about is that my 2 h-trays hold 60 litres my res is 120 now to bring a full res down to say 5.2 it wud take round about 6ml of ph down so say 3 a tank, now as i stated earlier im constintly finding ph rise from 5.2 to 6.4 over 24 hours to rectify this obviously i add more ph down but at the rate roughly of a 1ml a day so over a 6 day period one h-tray wud be gettin 6ml over the course of a week which is the same amount it takes to do 120 ie both tanks combined surely this isent helping <?>

How often do you totally replace the nutrient solution mate? By this i mean completely empty out the resovoir and start with totally fresh solution.

every week have to tank wud be dry otherwise

I wouldn't worry m8.... if you only have 3 weeks left - they look fine .....


Mind I know naff all about Hydro - other than you use pumps and water and stuff...

So maybe I'm talking bollox.... it has been known...

With 3 weeks left I wouldnt be too worryed but keep an eye on it..
What are your light on/off temps also resevoir temps on/off.??
Probably a little cold shock and plants will start losing leaves at this stage anyway, so it is to be expected.. IMO

Someone else may have another explanation..??
