Have any of you had the chance to read the latest WeedWorld Mag (issue 60)?
What is Big Buddha like? Where is the Love?

Well for those of you who don't know. Big Buddha has robbed the name of a good (clone only) strain (Cheese) and has decided to sell some Cheese cross which he is calling Big Buddha Cheese. Now a lot of people are buying these seeds hoping that they will get the real Cheese. You fools...

Look at the pictures of the BB Cheese. He plasters them all over the Weed World so you have a few to look at. If any of you know what the real cheese looks like. His cheese just isn't cheese. It looks 'Dutchafied' too many hairs. If you ask me Big Buddha hasn't even made a good cross but yet so many people have fallen for this scam. The Blue Cheese is the latest rip off to come from BB Seeds and once again this has been done before. Just by people who are not looking to profit from it. The blue cheese has been around for years.

I laughed hard at the comment from Big Buddha that says there are reports that the Big Buddha Cheese has put up the prices of marijuana in the UK again.... What!!? Where!!??

The prices have not gone up. They are always going down in my area. We shouldn't be looking at making people pay more for things. We should be helping each other out. Big Buddha is all about the money and that is bad. Sooner or later I am going to offer anyone and everyone the original cheese in clone form. Stuff BB Seeds and his crap. It doesn't even look like the cheese.....

Another thing to add to my list. Big Buddha tried to enter his Cheese into the HT Cannabis Cup. The problem being that he didn't have any ready.. He had the cheek to phone me up and ask me whether I could score him some REAL Cheese so he could take it to Amsterdam for samples. What a con!!! How cheeky is that......?

Oh I have to stop now. I could go on for some time slagging BB off but I will stop myself there. I will give everyone a chance to witness the BBCheese first before I say anymore.....

i have both versions... and too be honest the bbcheese aint that bad! still prefer the original though.

Got the original clone only variety, stinks to high heaven. It is a shame people try to make money on a variety that has been freely given, it goes againt the ethos of "cheese"

BB cheese is a little 'dutchifyed'. i met the big buddha and he's got love for the plant and his product. although in my opinion he should have used a 50/50 in the BX instead of the afghani...

i sat and spoke to bb at the fair showed him some real chesse went on to tell me he does'nt live in the uk anymore as he keeps getting death threats.........from the collective good ..............don't need no freelance seed seller trying to sell someone else's hard work....and the chesse he was selling is nothing like the real chesse .......o ok a tiny comparson not worth th £60-£70 find your se3lf the real one ..........

imo, I'm easy with it! At least you CAN buy something close. I bought a pack but I wouldn't bat an eye-lid on the blue cheese, or any of q's releases

It's pretty impossible to get hold of the cheese only strain which are only available as seed only clones

Proper cheese is everywhere - and statistically speaking, everyone will have the chance to grow it...eventually.

A m8 will get it - or his friend or someone he knows will get a cut ....... and the story will go on...

That's the beauty of it imo...

I dunno what all the fuss is about tbh.
Maybe the 'exodus cheese' hasn't been hacked, but its been serial cloned to buggery.
Its seriously lacking in vigour, and a tad overated imho.

All in all, a bit of a disapointment for me.
But I can see the apeal if you know no better.

But to cross it to an affi?
Please tell me what makes it any different to the umpteen other skunkxaffi crosses available today? crosses that have actually had some time spent on them, and aren't just hacks!

From the samples that I tried, I couldn't agree more!

To me though, just the thought alone takes me back to the day when I chonged on me first bit of 'green', when people used to dismiss skunk for home-grown. And, yep, it sure was expensive home-grown

We had a funny feeling that the weed was not coming from Holland and thought it was grown on British soil. With the story about the origin of Cheese, I'd wouldn't be surprised. So you think about it, back then, at £180 per ounce, people took advantage of her then. Although skunk prices are dropping, blame Cheese for todays' high prices!!!

I wouldn't mind having a pop at growing it, but I would have someone grow it out who will get the best potential out of it Then I will know what the is about.

No one from the exodus group has threatened BB in any way, thats just gossip and hearsay, Joolz and I introduced Cheese Farmer to BB at the fair, we left them having a lively but totally non aggressive conversation.

Shame we did not get to meet DrB I was there all three days, another time maybe.

I reckon cheese is more important for what it represents especially to the UK growers - than for how good or bad it is ...

I have some growing now - I also have some BB cheese seeds - probably give those a go as well.... If I like them they'll stay awhile, if not... it's 'Goodnight Irene....'

the conversation i had with bb was well freindly as i'm sure he will tell you if you ask ,i dont remember him saying anything about 'death threats' and anyhow the exodus collective was wound up 5 years ago so if someone did threaten him it would be a bit difficult to have done it in the 'name' of exodus.

the collective was about sharing so perhaps i can understand that some folks might see bb's commercial operation as a bit of a 'dis' on something that was gifted to the collective ,and from there gifted to the wider community.of course he is trading on the goodwill/kudos that this strangly named plant seems to have (rightly or wrongly) aquired ,but personally it doesnt bother me at all .....i'm quite keen to see all comers cross the cheese and do whatever they want with it .

if bb's done a good job with his cheese then he stands to make money and have a good rep as a breeder ,if he's done not such a good job then he'll make a quick buck (or three)

shite I was gonna give the blue cheese a go aswell!

I dunno about that maxigrower... there are a few chaps who have grown out BBcheese against alongside the original clone and give BBcheese good reports.... look for g-whizz's BBcheese and original cheese side by side grow mate.

I am doin the Blue Cheese rightnow, but you'll have to wait nearly 3 months for that one ....

I don't think you can knock the guy for wanting to get a cheese version into seedform.By all accounts and comparative grows a lot of people are happy with it.

I've smoked both,one bit of which came from BB at the hemp fair.Lovely taste,but I did'nt think the high was anything worth writing home about.

What did get me to raise an eye brow though,was me hearing BB at the hemp fair telling some young stoner that he was "just happy to be in on something that had taken cannabis to the next level"!

I thought upon hearing that,what's the next strain gonna be called?Dick cheese,perhaps?
