I'm growing a batch of Nirvana beans atm. Two halfs of the room each with one 600w light. One half is Nirvana AK48 the other BBxNL5. The difference? None at all. Each side has two distinct types: One very spikey Sativa looking plants who are sooooo slooooow at developing their flowers that they will probably still be in flower by xmas. The other nice fat broad Indies who are maturing nicely. It is just so clear to me that there are indeed two different strains here but which came in the same seed bag!

Deffo the last time I get cheap beans.

Anyone else had this?

Ya know all this started because I had to let my C99 clones die off due to a holliday and no trusted source to look after them. It just shows the value of having a good mum and clone supply, it's going to be the best part of a year before I get back on track sad.gif

At least I've managed to get some of those elusive C99's smoke.gif

I suppose it's too early to slag them completely, and I don't mean to do that. In fact I got 100% germ and 40% female so no complaints there. They all look healthy too. I've even had 100% clone success too. To be honest I have been taken back by the amount they have grown since 12/12. The tallest is now about 5 ft! My lights are right at the top and I actually had to top 3 plants the other day due to burn!

My complaints are that there appears no difference in the two strains, and that most are going to take about 3 months to finish where they should take 2. But hey, I'll let you know the quality when they finally finish.

I found a smililar thing with their Misty. It could have been just about any of their indoor strains judging on appearance and didn't seem to finish properly. I gave up waiting for amber trichs after 11 weeks and chopped the last of them. On the plus side, 100% germination, 6 fems from the pack and decent yields.

I think the budget company to watch could be Mandala Seeds.. I've heard nothing but impressed reports about all of their strains. With the new seeds they've been collecting on their travels the strains available should get better as time goes on aswell wink.gif
