Hi guys

Whilst on a session with some new friends of mine the other day, I mentioned the fact that I have IBS! So what, I hear you say. Well when I thought about my illness, which usually flaired up every couple of months, resulting in me been laid on the bed in the foetal position wishing I was dead from the pain!! I realised it had been sometime since I'd had an attack. Corresponding roughly with the time I started using herbal cannabis on a regular basis.
So im wondering if there are any medical facts to back up my theory that weed maybe the only effective treatment for IBS. Iv tried various alternative medicines like peppermint oil and tried changing my diet but nothing worked.

I'd not even realised how long it's been since my last attack till my new friend mentioned I could be classed as a medi user. Even if there is no medical fact too it, im sure there's something in it. Im gonna mention it to my doctor next time I go down, see what he's gotta say.

Anybody else looked into this?

Hello parko,

I have not really ever thought about this too much, but I too have IBS and at one time was being treated with some sort of horrid fibre drink. This is supposed to regulate the bowel, but it wasnt helpful at all, so I stopped taking it, the chemist actually told me she felt it made the bowel lazier but anyway.... bowel probs are rife in my family too with 2 members of immediate family having diverts in the bowel and both regularly suffer from diverticulitus.

I, like you, used to get chronic pain as the bowel goes into spasm..... : ouch: I used to get a flare up at least once a month (linked to periods for me) and the pain was awful and quite debilitating. For the last couple of years I have had no real troubles and it has only been the last couple of years that I have been smoking only herbal cannabis, was soap before that. (apart from the odd lapse)

In fact I cant remember the last time I had any pain or symptoms of it. Diet does help a lot tho parko, and it takes a long time for dietary changes to show any effect. But now that I think about it, I have noticed a regularity now to my bowel movements that was not there prior to smoking only bud.

I suppose I just figured that it had sorted itself out lol.gif

Deffo gonna mention it to the doc sounds like we're onto sommat!

my favourite subject.. POO!!!

I have had both sorts of IBS - probably overcomplicated by stress from overworking and norplant hormone contraception rods.

But basically, I had IBS D and panic attacks and cramps and pain, and taking any meds made it worse. Removed the hormonal contraception then it swung the other way to IBS C. Tried the fibre too and just couldnt shift nothing, I could go for 7 days without a movement. Also tried peppermint capsules for the bloating and they were useless..

My other half swears by a joint or two to shift a stuck tummy. He has had serious bouts of IBS involving dizzy attacks, projectile vomiting and all sorts. He gets some cannabis from his brothers when they buy it and swears by it for breaking up the bloating (specifically from dairy like cheese and cream) thankfully since I joined BB and UK420 and learning about Soapbar he is now making better arrangements to get better grass from them - and they are slowly picking up on the difference too. When my bloke went to the GP and mentioned cannabis and IBS he took the BB forms off him and said he would have to investigate as he had no knowledge of it. I dont think its got any official study behind it but lots of anecdotal evidence, much like the pain and cannabis connection was before they proved it works for MS etc

The best two things for IBS for me were Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc to help muscles contract and relax - plus regular small dose of grass/capsules. but too high a dose creates loose bowels.

Now Im more regular, things slow down a bit but rarely stop for more than two days, plus much less monthly bloating - and therefore less tension .. And I have reduced the calcium/magnesium too so theres less additives going in. (plus saving a pile of cash..)

I personally feel that a small dose of cannabis regularly has been excellent for IBS and better than anything else so far.

for me dietwise, I stopped eating gluten at the suggestion of my GP, and Id like to cut out some dairy as since Ive been doing breathing and meditation I notice I cant breathe through my nose (would like ot test the theory that dairy can block the sinus) and this causes my belly to stick, the muscles just wont move - if I breathe through my mouth the belly gets a massage and helps to push stuff through the colon - but then my mouth gets really dry and you dont filter bugs n stuff like you do with your nose. Again the first few times I took grass after a while off soapbar, my belly just suddenly went Feeerrlop and the muscles relaxed and I could move them again.

I also love and crave green veggies well cooked, and wet lush soft fruits like pears and grapes. I dont eat much ready meals... and enjoy cooking hot stews, curry and chili - hot heavy stuff with loads of herbs.

Cumin is meant to be good for colicky tummy... I was given a traditional indian hot water drink with pepper, cumin and other stuff in..

My mate used to swear by a joint for period pain, if it was really bad a joint and an asprin.

PS: and since taking cannabis my jeans have started falling down as the bloated belly has gone down and not holding them up any more - havent lost any weight... just less buddha belly.

As for cannabis helping well it didnt in my case.I smoke quite a bit whistling.gif but it does fek all for me and neither do all the tablet shit from docs. sad.gif

Best way to deal with it imo is your diet.Read up on the what to eat and what not to eat and you'll see a difference....I did anyway wink.gif

unsure.gif thanks for putting that into print. lol.gif.

yeah me too m8

coffee pretty much goes straight through me, but tea is fine

i recently tried onion rings again, onions were a big no no as well, but i am fine so i am going to have lasagne and chilli during the week with onions and see how i get on.

the doctors have been helpfull in printing off stuff from the internet (well, saved my printing costs) but other than that it's pretty much been trial and error.

since i have changed jobs from the stressfull nightmare to a nice easy driving job, my ibs is less irritable, flare ups are very rare nowadays, but that's also due to me steering clear of onions and coffee

daisy
remember everyone fibre is good per se, but for IBS insoluble fibre can be a bad idea..

saw a GP on telly once decided to go all high fibre had too much too quick and had to have surgery to remove a blockage.. whistling.gif

Oh yeah, I think the cannabis thing helps directly but also helps indirectly, in that it helps me sleep better at night so the next day Im not so tired, it lowers my pain levels so I can do more exercise and then the exercise helps the body get itself well again.

definitely fizzy beer is baaad news for dodgy tummy. I will treat myself to the odd broon ale now and then though when things are feeling good.

I changed my tipple of choice to Brandy... and a little wine now and then. Although i suspect a few poor sods cant even drink a sip of plonk without it causing spams n stuff.

I found recently that IBS, for me anyway, happens if I eat foods that have various added ingredients in them that are not natural, and sometimes just with processed foods.

What brought it to my attention was some flavoured crisps and possibly some chocolate biscuits and other confectionary - I hardly ever eat flavoured crips, and I was suprised at how much a few bags completely messed up my digestion.

It's too damn expensive to eat organic! but i try.......

btw - if you get munchies when using cannabis, stuff like popcorn is good as it takes ages to eat, but there's not much in it to digest etc.
daisy
MSG - spit. I stopped eating flavoured crisps and cut out as many additives as possible, was pretty impressed with just how strong flavoured crisps tasted when I tried them again. My tastebuds were screaming - too much baby! Think if you keep eating it you adjust to it and then need more to get the flavour. Asking for trouble

I dont eat fully organic but I like to impose a basic rule when reading ingredients in a product - no more than 5 ingredients and nothing with long words that I dont understand. If it says monoflurcarbonidiodideichflicidity or whatever, its BAD. And preferably not Genetically Modified. I want my food how nature intended.

This is a general guide, and I do break it at times, but the basic principle is sound (for me)

going gluten free helped focus my mind on what I was eating and exactly what all these ltitle things are in food that "are not dangerous in small amounts" and are yet in so much we end up ingesting loads of it.

Ive heard some people with IBS who have said that shop brought bread made them sick but homemade bread was fine, or that wholemeal was hard to eat and created wind but white was easier. Sore tender tummies struggle with hard fibre..and flour treatment agents that shops use.

After years of non gluten bread, the 'real' thing just isnt all that appetising anymore. even my partner says he can feel gluten free pastry which I make at home is 'lighter on the digestion and doesnt turn to stodge in your mouth" - I like to add a spoonful or two of hemp seed flour for extra nutrition and flavour... cool.gif He can also now taste the flavourings and additives in food that is bought ready made and that the stuff I make from fresh at home with minimal number of ingredients is cleaner tasting.

Arnold Layne
If you buy organic stuff at the supermarket you will be fleeced good and rotten. They justify it by all the washing, grading and packaging but who asked them for all that shit anyway? Ask around, see if there is a local organic farm doing a "Box Scheme", you will be impressed how much cheaper the stuff is. Mind you, your carrots will come clarted in muck, and your spuds will be all different sizes and you'll get stuff you've never heard of before but by 'eck, it does yer good!

Hi, i dont know if this is helpful or not ? I saw a Doctor talking about IBS on tv, he had a women who was miserable, could not go out, was a prisoner in her own home. Until the doctor did a few food tests. The doctor said that IBS is when your body can not tollerate certain foods. The women could not eat wheat or egg whites. The food allergy test are not free on NHS so you would have to pay aboout £25.00 for the tests.
The women is over the moon now she can go out to dinner with her husband and does not spend the whole evening in the loo. She has a normal life again. She said she ocassionally has problems, usually with something she has eaten, that she did not know had wheat of egg white in it.
So would it be worth considering?

I used to know a guy who had chrons and he had this yummy milk on prescription called Fresubin. We lived in a hostel at the time and his prescriptions kept us fed through hard times.. that was good stuff. GF biscuits have come a long way ...

I have suffered from ibs for the last four years, doubled over, spasmic episodes, the lot.
DR. told me after 2 years of homeopathic remedys to take some pills called Omeprazole/10mg capsules which worked a treat for about two/three months, it then came back worse than ever!!
I'm now taking Kolanticon Gel and that's been working a treat ever since(touch wood)
Since i stopped eating jalapenos the symptoms pretty much vanished.
Which is a shame as i love to grow me chillies too. Bahumbug!!Having a smoke eliviated my pains.

What to eat, drink, all has to be changed. And such a bag of pharmaceutical drugs, that I will never be able to keep up with what has to be taken when and where on top of my anti convulsant drugs sad.gif
It seems my life will change... no fizzy pop! I live for fizzy pop pinch.gif
Cut down on your cups of tea as well the doc said... pfft! What else is there to drink?
Tis good to read how peeps cope cos I have no idea about what foods to avoid etc.. Any more tips on how to control that cramping pain that I thought was constant constipation pains?

i dont know if constipation has any link with ibs, my mother told me she often wept because of my constipation when i was a baby, i took tablets on and off for years untill someone mentioned bran, i was 30 years old and it changed my life, its less than a quid from the herbal shop and it lasts around 3 weeks. but i've read about bran over the years and it appears my cure for constipation is a great source of fibre and helps stop a list of illnesses as long as your arm.

Aye, it's good stuff, is Bran.
Thanks for the reminder <reaches for shopping list>

Interesting story. My dad had IBS, quite badly, he took that Fibogel and some sort of alovera drink and tried all sorts for years and got no where (he was 70 btw), then he moved to rural France and within a week it complete gone, like, completely. He's convinced it has something to do with our water/food/diet in the UK, who knows he might be right, but it might be worth changing your diet up as much as you can to see what happens.

Lots of good advice here, good diet is prob the best way to treat IBS. I have IBD so, a bit different. Found this while researching IBD. G'luck mate hope it helps!

MARIJUANA AND IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME (IBS)
by
Christine

Tens of millions of people suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), an enigmatic problem with no known cause and no effective remedy. Sometimes referred to as spastic colon, it affects 10% to 20% of otherwise healthy adults, most of them women. In the United States it accounts for as many as 3.5 million visits to physicians and 2.2 million prescriptions each year. The symptoms include intermittent lower abdominal cramps and bloating accompanied by spells of diarrhea, sometimes alternating with constipation. The abdominal pain generally subsides after a bowel movement or after passing gas, but there is excessive mucus in the stool, and patients often feel that the rectum is not fully emptied. Since IBS is easily confused with other diseases, including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticula disease, and colorectal cancer, it is important for a person with these symptoms to consult a physician. The most common dietary recommendation is fiber to increase the stool’s bulk and speed it through the gastrointestinal tract. Drug therapy is often not very useful; the drugs most commonly used are anticholinergics and antispasmodics such as Bentyl (dicyclomine) and Imodium (loperamide).

The following account is by a woman who has found marijuana more useful than any prescribed drug.

My name is Christine, and I’m thirty-four years old. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and work as director of information systems for a large labor union. I have a college education and I’m a single mother of two lovely and bright children. I used marijuana recreationally in high school, stopped using it completely when I was 20, and began to use it again on rare occasions recreationally about a year ago. I don’t smoke, drink, or take any other non-prescription drugs.

In 1994 I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). My bouts with the disease normally come within thirty minutes of eating. I experience severe cramping, nausea, and diarrhea. Whenever I eat I have to keep track of where the nearest bathroom is just in case. The diagnosis is very frustrating because it basically means that my gastroenterologist cannot find anything to account for my symptoms. I have had a regular workup including a physical exam, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, upper GI with small bowel follow-through, and a month-long bland diet with a phase-in of different foods. None of these tests has turned up any physiological problem that would explain my symptoms. I had as many bouts with IBS on a bland diet as I had eating any other foods.

I was given a prescription for Bentyl (dicyclomine), which slows down the digestive tract so that food doesn’t process through so quickly. The problem is that my bouts with IBS appear to be random, and by the time the Bentyl is in my system I’m already suffering greatly. I found Bentyl to be ineffective unless I took it regularly, which I wasn’t willing to do because it wasn’t that helpful to me and I didn’t like the side effects.

I first tried using marijuana for my IBS about six months ago and found that a few puffs on a joint would give me immediate relief from both the urgent diarrhea and the nausea. I got the idea when my mom was dying of cancer and I was trying to get her to use it for her nausea. I have been trying to find a way to use marijuana immediately at the onset of nausea and cramps, but since it is illegal without a doctor’s recommendation [in California], the situation is difficult. I don’t want to be arrested for using it in public.

I usually pay $80 to $200 an ounce for marijuana. Normally I smoke it in a joint, a pipe, or a water pipe. A water pipe delivers the most cool smoke, so there is less coughing. Ice in the water makes a big difference. I have also tried to eat marijuana when I can get good and fresh buds. To me it tastes like dried basil. Because of my IBS symptoms, eating it isn’t all that appetizing.

I’ve never been arrested for marijuana use or had any problems from using it either recreationally or medicinally.

I hope this information is helpful to somebody. Please let me know if there is any further information you think would be helpful. I would like my last name to be kept private. My first name and e-mail address (Ms_Christine@compuserve.com) are fine to put on your web site.

Shortly after we posted the above clinical account, Christine received the following e-mail from Sammy:

I was so pleased to see someone else with this problem who has been able to treat himself successfully with cannabis. In fact, I don’t go to bed at night without a joint tucked in my night table drawer. I usually get attacks in the early morning and find if I can get myself to the bathroom with a joint and a lighter, I can ease through the attack (which would otherwise put me to bed for a day or so) and be able to fall back to sleep and wake up able to go to work. Nothing else has been as effective, has as few side effects, works as quickly when I need it, etc.

Thanks for letting me share with you...

Here’s to a healthy and happy New Year ... and to the Gov’t and FDA getting some common sense!

Sammy

Maybe its of some use

Hulda:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS),
Colitis, and Spastic Colon
are all conditions that combine parasite and bacterial problems
plus an allergic trigger. If dairy foods trigger yours, you can
guess it is not allergic at all but simply Salmonella or Shigella
infection. Boil all dairy foods, stop eating ice cream, cheese and
yogurt which you cannot boil. If eating lettuce triggers your
intestinal attack, but other roughage does not, it may be a true
allergen and cleaning the liver will eventually cure it. Apples,
cinnamon and other “allergic” foods can be salvaged the same
way. Wheat “allergy” is due to the pancreas being full of
pancreatic flukes, wood alcohol, Kojic acid (a mycotoxin), and
gold.
All these bowel diseases are quite easily cured by killing all
parasites, bacteria, and viruses. Since reinfection is such a big
problem, give your pet away until you are completely cured.
Have your pet on the herbal parasite program before bringing it
back. Clean up your diet, dentalware and environment. Your
abdomen will be happy once more and grateful to you for your
kind attention. Remember that zapping does not penetrate into the
bowel contents. It kills only the outside layer of pathogens. For
this reason you should zap daily for several weeks. For this
reason, too, I recommend the Bowel Program (page 546) and
Black Walnut Hull Tincture Extra Strength even though you may
have gotten immediate relief from zapping alone.

Crohn's Disease
is somewhat more serious because the sores are higher up in
the digestive tract. This is because sheep liver fluke and pancreatic
fluke are commonly the main parasites and these live in the
pancreas and liver. They often spill over into the upper intestine.
Salmonella and Shigella are always part of the picture, too, as
are various amoebae and fungi. The treatment is the same, kill all
parasites and remove all pollutants, especially wood alcohol in
commercial beverages. Healing of the digestive tract is very
quick, often in a week. Reinfection is very quick too, if the rule
about cooking dairy foods is not observed. Keep up meticulous
hand sanitation.

Michelle Whorton had stomach pain at the middle of her abdomen, not
related to eating. She had occasional very bad diarrhea and also
daily headaches. She was started on the kidney herbs for other
reasons. Her diarrhea disappeared! We found she had Ascaris
(probably in her stomach where they cause indigestion and inflammation).
She zapped them with a frequency generator set to
408 KHz for three minutes at 10 volts. She was to be very careful
with sanitation since they owned a number of farm dogs. Next seen
after six weeks, she stated that all her previous problems were
gone but she had a different pain in the mid-lower abdomen that
got worse during her period and sent pain shooting down both
legs.
This turned out to be uterine in origin, but not endometriosis. Her
uterus was full of asbestos, arsenic, gold, silver, titanium, propyl
alcohol, benzene, styrene, toluene and carbon tetrachloride. This
would invite any bacteria toward it!
Mark Lippman, age 51, came in for his irritable bowel syndrome, hoping
we would find Giardia and put an end to it quickly. Actually, he
had intestinal flukes, beginning to invade the liver. He also had
propyl alcohol built up in his body giving him a precancerous condition
that needed immediate attention. The flukes were killed in
twenty minutes, along with Ascaris (he had swollen eyelids). He
was allergic to milk as could be expected with so much interferTHE
CURE FOR ALL DISEASES
104
ence with digestion. He was immediately better and did not need to
come back.
Billy Henry, a 9-year-old boy, had diarrhea daily and stomach aches.
He also wet the bed. There was an indoor pet dog and a bird.
Electronic testing showed he had two kinds of Ascaris and pinworms.
His young body also had a buildup of benzene, moth balls
and carbon tetrachloride that he was eating, drinking, and
breathing. His bed wetting stopped after killing parasites with the
herbal program. His other problems recurred until he was older
and could stop licking his fingers when eating.
Tom Ochs, age 36, had chronic stomach problems, alternating constipation
and diarrhea, was labeled “lactose intolerant” after an
elaborate test, and finally had been diagnosed with irritable bowel
syndrome. Actually, he had Ascaris, besides other smaller parasites.
He was also toxic with cesium from drinking beverages out of
clear plastic bottles. This frequently causes depression and he was
happy to understand his mood changes. After changing to purer
food and products and killing his parasites, he did not need to
come back. Five months later he was able to drink all the milk he
wanted, no longer had sinus problems and lost his IBS.
Rex Callahan, age 5, had dark circles under his eyes, numerous ear
infections until tonsils were removed and tubes put in, and many
strep throat infections. Clinically, he was found allergic to dust
mites, pollens, and animal dander. His skin got “rashy” if he drank
too much fruit juice. He had frequent diarrhea. We found he had
Ascaris parasites. They were not difficult to clear and he was soon
a new person.
David Falls, age 52, had stomach pain and numerous health problems
stemming, no doubt, from his diagnosed Crohn's disease. He became
allergic to the sulfa drugs commonly used in this disease.
We found he had sheep liver flukes and all their developmental
stages in his blood and intestine. He was put on the herbal parasite
program which he found difficult to follow. Nevertheless, in three
months his bowel was nearly normal and the pain in his intestine
much less.
Edward Marsili age 7, had bouts of stomach pain. He had intestinal
flukes and a build-up of benzene in his body. This would seriously
lower his immunity and ability to fight off tiny parasites. He was
PAIN FROM TOE TO HEAD

using a product containing an herbal oil that was polluted with
benzene. His parasites were quickly killed with a frequency generator
and he was put on the herbal parasite program. One month
later his stomach felt much better, but he still had an occasional
stomach ache. Testing showed hookworm and rabbit fluke. His
benzene was now gone so the tendency to “pick up everything”
was gone too. Staying on a child's maintenance parasite program
would protect him.
Kim Johnson, almost two years old, had lots of ear infections. It started
at eight months so the mother took her off cow's milk and wheat.
This stopped her ear infections until mid-winter. She had to be
back on antibiotics and a few months ago the doctor began
discussing tube implants with her since she was still on antibiotics
(six months). Another ear, nose and throat doctor agreed with this
opinion, but was willing to wait until Autumn. The baby had been
passing a lot of undigested food and was unhappy. They were
vegetarians. The baby nursed. Our test showed pancreatic fluke
infestation; this would easily lead to bad digestion, especially of
milk and gluten in wheat. Fortunately, she was nursed throughout,
in spite of going to daycare. Simply killing the parasites (in both
mother and baby) solved both problems and she did not need to
come back. The ear infections were probably caused by bacteria
and viruses brought in by the parasites.
Cynthia Prout, age 36, brought her three children because of their
poor health. They all, including herself, had stomach problems, a
lot of allergies, asthma, ear infections, and milk intolerance. One
boy, age 8, was intolerant of both milk and wheat and hadn't had
them for years. He was infested with two kinds of Ascaris and
pancreatic flukes. His sister, Nola, had itching legs and headaches
besides; she was toxic with bismuth and antimony (from shampoo
fragrance and laundry fragrance). She also showed a build up of
vanadium, implying a gas leak in the home. The youngest, age 5,
had frequent stomach aches and vomiting. It was a simple matter
to kill Ascaris electronically at 408 KHz and the pancreatic fluke
with all its stages (421 through 434) after which the children did
fine.
Sofia Sobel had extreme ulcerative colitis although she came for her
headache. She had been on Prednisone for a month with no relief.
We found she had the three large flukes plus Chilomastix, dog
whip worm, and amoebas in her intestine (but not in body organs).
THE CURE FOR ALL DISEASES
106
There were several house dogs. Her stomach and intestines were
much too sensitive to accept parasite herbs, or in fact, anything—
anything except slippery elm powder. This herb (1 tbs. made into a
paste first with water and then drunk as a beverage three times a
day) paved the way for acceptance of two oyster shell calcium,
one magnesium and one zinc tablet. Her blood test showed high
phosphate levels since she was dissolving her bones to get calcium.
She added sodium alginate (¼ tsp. to a cup of vegetable
broth soup) twice a day to help her tolerate the parasite killing
herbs. Her children were given VMF (vermifuge or parasite killing)
syrup. By the 12th day of the parasite program she no longer
needed colitis medicine; her bowel movements were down to twice
a day, soft and formed, but still with a little blood streaking. She
loved the alginate mixed with slippery elm. She was able to eat
fruits and vegetables but agreed to stay off wheat and corn until
her liver was cleansed. In another week she was free from all
abdominal complaints except a heaviness over the uterus, possibly
due to two missed periods. The thought of pregnancy put her in a
panic. She was instructed to induce her period (Emmenagogue,
see Recipes). She was sure she wanted her period, not a
pregnancy and this seemed to be her God-given right. Three
weeks later she had a flare up of colitis due to Salmonella in food;
it also gave her a urinary tract infection. This time she took
Quassia herb to kill invaders in addition to the maintenance
parasite program which she had begun to neglect. She had been
very busy, had lots of energy and wasn't on medications. She
treated her urinary tract infection with betaine-hydrochloride (to
acidify the stomach), began using plastic utensils to reduce her
nickel intake (see Prostate Pain, page 124)) and drank a lot of
water. This experience taught her valuable lessons that she was
eager to learn, benefiting her family and herself immensely.
Rebecca Goetz, age 53, had ulcerative colitis and her husband had
Crohn's disease. She had been on AzulfidineTM and FlagylTM frequently.
Her parasites were only intestinal flukes and their stages,
and Endolimax, an amoeba. It was a simple task for her to clear
her problems by killing them and by sterilizing her dairy foods.
Wes, her husband, had three surgeries to remove sections of
bowel due to Crohn's disease. He now had a colostomy but was on
AdvilTM for pain in the rectal area. He could hardly sit. He had been
tried on anti parasitic medicine (CyprilTM and FlagylTM) but

they did no good. He had intestinal flukes and all their reproductive
stages in his body, also pancreatic flukes, Capillaria roundworm,
and Diphyllobothrium erinacea scolex. We interrupted his testing
at that point. His kidneys were full of phosphate crystals— he ate
no dairy products. He was started on half-doses of kidney herbs
and only part of the parasite program in view of his colostomy and
possible diarrhea. Two weeks later we continued testing, finding
pinworms, Haemonchus, Leishmania tropica, Paragonimus,
Sarcocystis, Stephanuris and Trichuris (whip worm.) Quassia
was added and doses increased. His blood test showed a high
thyroid hormone level (T4), contributory to over activity of his
bowel He was started on goat milk, vitamin C (3 gm. daily) and B12
shots. He was given magnets to sit on for pain. He was toxic with
cadmium, from his old tooth fillings. But in five weeks he could sit
comfortably without pain pills. There was less blood in the stool.
Dental work would bring him his next big improvement.
Benito Villamar, a middle age man, had severe side pain for several
weeks. He was also gassy. He had sheep liver fluke and stages in
his thymus and intestine. The thymus is under the top of the
breastbone and is a very important organ of immune function. It is
easily damaged by benzene. He did, indeed, have benzene accumulated
there. He was given a list of benzene-polluted products
to avoid and was started on the parasite killing herbs after killing
the flukes instantly with the frequency generator. Two weeks later
his side was very much better, his benzene was gone and he was
eager to rid himself of lower back pain, which he also had.
Al Vickers, age 9, had stomach aches, headaches, a constantly runny
nose and asthma. He was on Slo-BidTM medicine and allergy
treatment. He had a sleep problem. He also had two dogs, one rat
and two hamsters. The dogs and he had high levels of Ascaris. He
was zapped for Ascaris and the four common flukes (without
testing). He was put on vermifuge syrup and Rascal capsules. This
ended his problems and began a new chapter of better care for his
health by his parents.
Tim Melton, age 16, had several colitis attacks yearly, requiring hospitalization,
from third grade to the present. He also drooled constantly,
needing to spit a lot. (This is due to mercury toxicity from
amalgam fillings. It is better to spit out the mercury than to swalTHE

low it.) He had intestinal flukes at a high level for which he was
started on the parasite program. One month later he was very
much better. He had only one diarrhea session since the last visit.
But he still had sharp pains under both buttocks (probably due to
kidney stones). He had been an iced tea drinker and had numerous
oxalate and cysteine crystals deposited. He was appalled that
a common beverage could be so harmful.

Bowel Program
Bacteria are always at the root of bowel problems, such as
pain, bloating and gassiness. They can not be killed by zapping,
because the high frequency current does not penetrate the bowel
contents.
Although most bowel bacteria are beneficial, the ones that
are not, like Salmonellas and Shigellas, are extremely detrimental
because they have the ability to invade the rest of your
body and colonize a trauma site or weakened organ. These same
RECIPES
547
bacteria colonize a cancer tumor and delay healing after the
malignancy is stopped.
Another reason bowel bacteria are so hard to eradicate is
that we are constantly reinfecting ourselves by keeping a reservoir
on our hands and under our fingernails.
• So the first thing to do is improve sanitation. For a serious
problem, use 50% grain alcohol (100 proof vodka) in a
spray bottle at the bathroom sink. Sterilize your hands after
bathroom use and before meals.
• Secondly use turmeric (2 capsules 3 times a day, this is the
common spice) which I find helps against Shigella, as well
as E. coli. Expect orange colored stool.
• Third use fennel (1 capsule 3 times a day).
• Fourth use digestive enzyme tablets with meals as directed
on the bottle. (But only as long as necessary, because
these frequently harbor molds.)
• Fifth use a single 2 tsp. dose of Black Walnut Hull
Tincture Extra Strength. Add it to a ½ glass of water and
sip over a 15 minute period. Stay seated until any side
effect from the alcohol wears off.
• Sixth take Cascara sagrada capsules if constipated (start
with one capsule a day, use up to maximum on label).
Remember to drink a cup of hot water upon rising in the
morning. This will begin to regulate your elimination.
It can take all six to get rid of a bad Shigella problem in a
week. Afterward, you must continue to eat only sterile dairy
products. Note that the Kidney Cleanse is often effective with
bowel problems. Try it also.
You will know you succeeded when your tummy is flat, there
is not a single gurgle, and your mood improves!

Kidney Cleanse
½ cup dried Hydrangea root
½ cup Gravel root
½ cup Marshmallow root
4 bunches of fresh parsley
Goldenrod tincture (leave this out of the recipe if you are allergic to it)
Ginger capsules
Uva Ursi capsules
Vegetable glycerin
Black Cherry Concentrate, 8 oz
Vitamin B6, 250 mg
Magnesium oxide tablets, 300 mg
Measure ¼ cup of each root and set them to soak, together in
10 cups of cold tap water, using a non-metal container and a nonmetal
lid (a dinner plate will do). After four hours (or overnight)
add 8 oz. black cherry concentrate, heat to boiling and simmer
for 20 minutes. Drink ¼ cup as soon as it is cool enough. Pour the
rest through a bamboo strainer into a sterile pint jar (glass) and
several freezable containers. Refrigerate the glass jar.
Boil the fresh parsley, after rinsing, in 1 quart of water for 3
minutes. Drink ¼ cup when cool enough. Refrigerate a pint and
freeze 1 pint. Throw away the parsley.
Dose: each morning, pour together ¾ cup of the root mixture
and ½ cup parsley water, filling a large mug. Add 20 drops of
goldenrod tincture and 1 tbs. of glycerin. Drink this mixture

in divided doses throughout the day. Keep cold. Do not drink it
all at once or you will get a stomach ache and feel pressure in
your bladder. If your stomach is very sensitive, start on half this
dose.
Save the roots after the first boiling, storing them in the
freezer. After 13 days when your supply runs low, boil the same
roots a second time, but add only 6 cups water and simmer only
10 minutes. This will last another 8 days, for a total of three
weeks. You may cook the roots a third time if you wish, but the
recipe gets less potent. If your problem is severe, only cook them
twice.
After three weeks, repeat with fresh herbs. You need to do
the Kidney Cleanse for six weeks to get good results, longer for
severe problems.
Also take:
• Ginger capsules: one with each meal (3/day).
• Uva Ursi capsules: one with breakfast and two with supper.
• Vitamin B6 (250 mg): one a day.
• Magnesium oxide (300 mg): one a day.
Take these supplements just before your meal to avoid
burping.
Some notes on this recipe: this herbal tea, as well as the
parsley, can easily spoil. Heat it to boiling every fourth day if it
is being stored in the refrigerator; this resterilizes it. If you sterilize
it in the morning you may take it to work without refrigerating
it (use a glass container).
When you order your herbs, be careful! Herb companies are
not the same! These roots should have a strong fragrance. If the
ones you buy are barely fragrant, they have lost their active ingredients;
switch to a different supplier. Fresh roots can be used.
Do not use powder.

• Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens) is a common flowering
bush.
• Gravel root (Eupatorium purpureum) is a wild flower.
• Marshmallow root (Althea officinalis) is mucilaginous and
kills pain.
• Fresh parsley can be bought at a grocery store. Parsley
flakes and dried parsley herb do not work.
• Goldenrod herb works as well as the tincture but you may
get an allergic reaction from smelling the herb. If you know
you are allergic to this, leave this one out of your recipe.
• Ginger from the grocery store works fine; you may put it
into capsules for yourself (size 0, 1 or 00).
There are probably dozens of herbs that can dissolve kidney
crystals and stones. If you can only find several of those in the
recipe, make the recipe anyway; it will just take longer to get
results. Remember that vitamin B6 and magnesium, taken daily,
can prevent oxalate stones from forming. But only if you stop
drinking tea. Tea has 15.6 mg oxalic acid per cup37. A tall glass
of iced tea could give you over 20 mg oxalic acid. Switch to herb
teas. Cocoa and chocolate, also, have too much oxalic acid to be
used as beverages.
Remember, too, that phosphate crystals are made when you
eat too much phosphate. Phosphate levels are high in meats,
breads, cereals, pastas, and carbonated drinks. Eat less of these,
and increase your milk (2%), fruits and vegetables. Drink at least
2 pints of water a day.

Cleanse your kidneys at least twice a year.
You can dissolve all your kidney stones in 3 weeks, but make
new ones in 3 days if you are drinking tea and cocoa and
phosphated beverages. None of the beverage recipes in this
chapter are conducive to stone formation.
Liver Herbs
Don't confuse these liver herbs with the next recipe for the
Liver Cleanse. This recipe contains herbs traditionally used to
help the liver function, while the Liver Cleanse gets gallstones
out.
6 parts comfrey root, Symphytum officinale (also called nipbone root)
6 parts tanner’s oak bark, Quercus alba (white oak bark)
3 parts gravel root, Eupatorium purpureum (queen of the meadow)
3 parts Jacob’s staff, Verbascum thapsus (mullein herb)
2 parts licorice root, Glycyrrhiza glabra
2 parts wild yam root, Dioscorea villosa
2 parts milk thistle herb, Silybum marianum
3 parts walnut bark, Juglans nigra, (black walnut bark)
3 parts marshmallow root, Althea officinalis (white mallow)
1 part lobelia plant, Lobelia inflata (bladder pod)
1 part skullcap, Scutellaria lateriflora (helmet flower)
Mix all the herbs. Add ½ cup of the mixture to 2 quarts of
water. Bring to a boil. Put lid on. Let sit for six hours. Strain and
drink 1½ cups per day. Put the strained herbs in the freezer and
use them one more time.
Liver Cleanse
Cleansing the liver of gallstones dramatically improves digestion,
which is the basis of your whole health. You can expect

your allergies to disappear, too, more with each cleanse you do!
Incredibly, it also eliminates shoulder, upper arm, and upper
back pain. You have more energy and increased sense of well
being.
Cleaning the liver bile ducts is the most powerful procedure
that you can do to improve your body's health.
But it should not be done before the parasite program, and for
best results should follow the kidney cleanse and any dental
work you need.
It is the job of the liver to make bile, 1 to l½ quarts in a day!
The liver is full of tubes (biliary tubing) that deliver the bile to
one large tube (the common bile duct). The gallbladder is
attached to the common bile duct and acts as a storage reservoir.
Eating fat or protein triggers the gallbladder to squeeze itself
empty after about twenty minutes, and the stored bile finishes its
trip down the common bile duct to the intestine.
For many persons, including children, the biliary tubing is
choked with gallstones. Some develop allergies or hives but
some have no symptoms. When the gallbladder is scanned or Xrayed
nothing is seen. Typically, they are not in the gallbladder.
Not only that, most are too small and not calcified, a prerequisite
for visibility on X-ray. There are over half a dozen varieties of
gallstones, most of which have cholesterol crystals in them. They
can be black, red, white, green or tan colored. The green ones get
their color from being coated with bile. Notice in the picture how
many have imbedded unidentified objects. Are they fluke
remains? Notice how many are shaped like corks with
longitudinal grooves below the tops. We can visualize the
blocked bile ducts from such shapes. Other stones are composites–
made of many smaller ones–showing that they regrouped in
the bile ducts some time after the last cleanse.
THE CURE FOR ALL DISEASES

At the very center of each stone is found a clump of bacteria,
according to scientists, suggesting a dead bit of parasite might
have started the stone forming.
As the stones grow and become more numerous the back
pressure on the liver causes it to make less bile. Imagine the
situation if your garden hose had marbles in it. Much less water
would flow, which in turn would decrease the ability of the hose
to squirt out the marbles. With gallstones, much less cholesterol
leaves the body, and cholesterol levels may rise.
Gallstones, being porous, can pick up all the bacteria, cysts,
viruses and parasites that are passing through the liver. In this

way “nests” of infection are formed, forever supplying the body
with fresh bacteria. No stomach infection such as ulcers or intestinal
bloating can be cured permanently without removing
these gallstones from the liver.
Cleanse your liver twice a year.
Preparation.
• You can't clean a liver with living parasites in it. You
won't get many stones, and you will feel quite sick. Zap
daily the week before, or get through the first three weeks
of the parasite killing program before attempting a liver
cleanse. If you are on the maintenance parasite program,
you are always ready to do the cleanse.
• Completing the kidney cleanse before cleansing the liver is
also highly recommended. You want your kidneys, bladder
and urinary tract in top working condition so they can
efficiently remove any undesirable substances incidentally
absorbed from the intestine as the bile is being excreted.
• Do any dental work first, if possible. Your mouth should be
metal free and bacteria free (cavitations are cleaned). A
toxic mouth can put a heavy load on the liver, burdening it
immediately after cleansing. Eliminate that problem first
for best results.
Ingredients
Epsom salts 4 tablespoons
Olive oil half cup (light olive oil is easier to get
down)
Fresh pink grapefruit 1 large or 2 small, enough to squeeze
2/3 to 3/4 cup juice
THE CURE FOR ALL DISEASES
556
Choose a day like Saturday for the cleanse, since you will be
able to rest the next day.
Take no medicines, vitamins or pills that you can do without;
they could prevent success. Stop the parasite program and kidney
herbs, too, the day before.
Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch such as cooked cereal with
fruit, fruit juice, bread and preserves or honey (no butter or
milk), baked potato or other vegetables with salt only. This allows
the bile to build up and develop pressure in the liver.
Higher pressure pushes out more stones.
2:00 PM. Do not eat or drink after 2 o'clock. If you break this
rule you could feel quite ill later.
Get your Epsom salts ready. Mix 4 tbs. in 3 cups water and
pour this into a jar. This makes four servings, ¾ cup each. Set the
jar in the refrigerator to get ice cold (this is for convenience and
taste only).
6:00 PM. Drink one serving (¾ cup) of the ice cold Epsom
salts. If you did not prepare this ahead of time, mix 1 tbs. in ¾ cup
water now. You may add 1/8 tsp. vitamin C powder to improve
the taste. You may also drink a few mouthfuls of water
afterwards or rinse your mouth.
Get the olive oil and grapefruit out to warm up.
8:00 PM. Repeat by drinking another ¾ cup of Epsom salts.
You haven't eaten since two o'clock, but you won't feel hungry.
Get your bedtime chores done. The timing is critical for
success; don't be more than 10 minutes early or late.
9:45 PM. Pour ½ cup (measured) olive oil into the pint jar.
Squeeze the grapefruit by hand into the measuring cup. Remove
pulp with fork. You should have at least ½ cup, more (up to ¾

cup) is best. You may top it up with lemonade. Add this to the
olive oil. Close the jar tightly with the lid and shake hard until
watery (only fresh grapefruit juice does this).
Now visit the bathroom one or more times, even if it makes
you late for your ten o'clock drink. Don't be more than 15 minutes
late.
10:00 PM. Drink the potion you have mixed. Take 4 ornithine
capsules with the first sips to make sure you will sleep
through the night. Take 8 if you already suffer from insomnia.
Drinking through a large plastic straw helps it go down easier.
You may use ketchup, cinnamon, or brown sugar to chase it down
between sips. Take it to your bedside if you want, but drink it
standing up. Get it down within 5 minutes (fifteen minutes for
very elderly or weak persons).
Lie down immediately. You might fail to get stones out if
you don't. The sooner you lie down the mote stones you will get
out. Be ready for bed ahead of time. Don't clean up the kitchen.
As soon as the drink is down walk to your bed and lie down flat
on your back with your head up high on the pillow. Try to think
about what is happening in the liver. Try to keep perfectly still
for at least 20 minutes. You may feel a train of stones traveling
along the bile ducts like marbles. There is no pain because the
bile duct valves are open (thank you Epsom salts!). Go to sleep,
you may fail to get stones out if you don't.
Next morning. Upon awakening take your third dose of Epsom
salts. If you have indigestion or nausea wait until it is gone
before drinking the Epsom salts. You may go back to bed. Don't
take this potion before 6:00 am.
2 Hours Later. Take your fourth (the last) dose of Epsom
salts. Drink ¾ cup of the mixture. You may go back to bed.
After 2 More Hours you may eat. Start with fruit juice. Half
an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat regular food
but keep it light. By supper you should feel recovered.
THE CURE FOR ALL DISEASES

How well did you do? Expect diarrhea in the morning. Use a
flashlight to look for gallstones in the toilet with the bowel
movement. Look for the green kind since this is proof that they
are genuine gallstones, not food residue. Only bile from the liver
is pea green. The bowel movement sinks but gallstones float
because of the cholesterol inside. Count them all roughly,
whether tan or green. You will need to total 2000 stones before
the liver is clean enough to rid you of allergies or bursitis or upper
back pains permanently. The first cleanse may rid you of
them for a few days, but as the stones from the rear travel forward,
they give you the same symptoms again. You may repeat
cleanses at two week intervals. Never cleanse when you are ill.
Sometimes the bile ducts are full of cholesterol crystals that
did not form into round stones. They appear as a “chaff” floating
on top of the toilet bowl water. It may be tan colored, harboring
millions of tiny white crystals. Cleansing this chaff is just as
important as purging stones.
How safe is the liver cleanse? It is very safe. My opinion is
based on over 500 cases, including many persons in their seventies
and eighties. None went to the hospital; none even reported
pain. However it can make you feel quite ill for one or
two days afterwards, although in every one of these cases the
maintenance parasite program had been neglected. This is why
the instructions direct you to complete the parasite and kidney
rinse programs first.
CONGRATULATIONS
You have taken out your gallstones without surgery! I like to
think I have perfected this recipe, but I certainly can not take
credit for its origin. It was invented hundreds, if not thousands, of
years ago, THANK YOU, HERBALISTS!
RECIPES
559
This procedure contradicts many modern medical viewpoints.
Gallstones are thought to be formed in the gallbladder, not
the liver. They are thought to be few, not thousands. They are not
linked to pains other than gallbladder attacks. It is easy to
understand why this is thought: by the time you have acute pain
attacks, some stones are in the gallbladder, are big enough and
sufficiently calcified to see on X-ray, and have caused inflammation
there. When the gallbladder is removed the acute
attacks are gone, but the bursitis and other pains and digestive
problems remain.
The truth is self-evident. People who have had their gallbladder
surgically removed still get plenty of green, bile-coated
stones, and anyone who cares to dissect their stones can see that
the concentric circles and crystals of cholesterol match textbook
pictures of “gallstones” exactly.
Lugol’s Iodine Solution
It is too dangerous to buy a commercially prepared solution.
It is certain to be polluted with propyl alcohol or wood alcohol.
Make it yourself or ask your pharmacist to make it up for you.
The recipe to make 1 liter (quart) is:
44 gm (1½ ounces) iodine, granular
88 gm (3 ounces) potassium iodide, granular
Dissolve the potassium iodide in about a pint of the water.
Then add the iodine crystals and fill to the liter mark with water.
It takes about 1 day to dissolve completely. Shake it from time to
time. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use if
allergic to iodine. Be careful to avoid bottled water for preparation.

It's Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) mate not irritable.

I was mis-diagnosed IBS for years and the treatments I had turned out to be pretty bad for IBD. If your gp diagnoses you you need to go for proper tests with a specialist to make sure.

Your right but a little wrong I think, I just had a "food intolerance test" not food allergy. don't get them confused as there is a big difference. I told my GP about the amazing difference and she told me not to believe everything I read etc about holistic therapies etc. If it was that good she said, don't you think the NHS would invest in it?

Well it was that good for me and my two other family members who swore by it and recommended me to have it. I was a bit gutted though as their ain't much I'm supposed to eat now lol.gif. But it has made me feel like a new man after starting my new exclusion diet. So look it up or PM me for more info. It's not cheap the one I did but it worked! so it may work for you two.

No mate, no tests as yet, I went to the doctor about a year ago (had it on and off for years - but never this bad though) and she first off sent me away with a load leaflets on i.b.s. ( I. bull.shit. - cos I don't know what's wrong with you) after a few food diarys and plenty of flare ups for no apparent reason (to do with food anyway) she sent me to hospital for a colonoscopy (camera on 6foot cable stuck up your arse (not pleasant) anyway, pleased to say that I've got a spotless colon - so that wasn't it...and I kind of lived with it after that, would flare up every now and then but not enough to get anything done about it (like a toothache in your stomach) but, the last week has been bad, I'm off to see the doctor tomorrow so I'll mention that test, cheers Eddie, off to google it now wink1.gif

Cool. At about one in every hundred people in the UK, it's really common, but hardly ever diagnosed.

If you take the gliadin test, it will test for the presence of antibodies to gluten. To oversimplify the deal, the coeliac gut treats gluten as a virus and mobilises the body's defences. The body then realises it can't kill the virus 'cos it ain't one, and so gut turns on itself as the next best thing - if it can't kill the virus, it puts up a barrier of scar tissue instead. The small intestine begins to flatten out its villi, and they gradually become scar tissue. Absorption and nutrition take a massive hit once your gut begins to scar. In most cases if there is no gluten present, the villi will recover, usually faster than expected, and the body is then able to operate properly again. So the treatment for coeliac disease is a strict, and I mean strict, gluten-free diet.

If it is found that you are a coeliac sufferer, like most sufferers your life can turn around very fast indeed if you strictly follow the correct diet. You should get the test, as should anyone with conditions diagnosed as IBS or IBD, because if you remain an undiagnosed coeliac there is a marked increase in the predisposal to bowel cancer.

Before you get the test, you'll need to spend a couple of weeks eating a diet which includes gluten, in order to let your body make some antibodies. otherwise the test won't show any antibodies anyway and so it will be pointless.

Good luck!

e2a: yours is a correct analysis of the meaning of IBS. It is a diagnosis of last-resort, where everything else is ruled out, IBS is what it is. As new gut conditions get discovered and made treatable, IBS gets smaller.

For obvious reasons it's exactly like the effect that the advancement of science has upon God.

Brilliant Eddie, thanks mate... I'm off to the docs tomorrow morning and forewarned is forearmed ... not going to be fobbed off this time ... I want tests god-damn it!!
I'll ask about gliadin test first and also going to hassle for a gall stones test, and pretty much every other stomach pain test they've got going... Sherlock Holmes innit... "when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth" thumbsup.gif

In the 80's I had dreaful IBS, but it vanished after a few years and has never returned. I hope that's your experience of it to, the vanishing and not returning I mean wink1.gif

Sadly or Thankfully (depending on your viewpoint), Eddie, the shrinking of the Divine is a patchy affair. In Liberal Theological circles, yes there has been shrinkage as in the David Jenkins affair ("resurrection = party tricks wth bones", Shock! Horror! Outrage!). But on the more popular Evangelical side of things (growing at a worrying pace right now), I'm afraid the Deity seems to be the standrad Biblical measurement.
But I do like the analogy, God is a Pain in the gut, best resolved by a long comforting shite. Indeed smile.gif

All ibs syndrom tabs are mostly made up off pepermint oil so that would be recomended as it worked with my symptoms.

I know it's really bad not to read all of the topic but I thought that I should throw in my 2 cents...

You should look into smoking (tobacco or weed) as a aid for ibs. I have heard in a few cases (including House MD [bad reference I know!]) that it is used to regulate the digestive system and although there are side affects - compared with some other prescription drugs its not too bad. But if cannabis is better than tobacco at helping this then all the better!

Forgot about this topic!

Just to update, I've recently started getting healthy and part of that is doing the Organic fruit and veg box scheme that Arni mentioned. But I've just finished an 8 week colon detox. An I'm starting a liver/blood and gall bladder detox on Monday. The important part is that since being on the detox I've not had a single twinge.

Kind regards, Maxi ;-)
