hi all

ive been looking round the shop for some seeds for my next grow and like the look of white russian
ive done chronic ,mazar,superskunk in the past
what i wanted to know about white russian was

1 how much stretch

2 yield and stone potential (ive read its strong )

3 best grow methods

this grow is gonna be hydro and organic using diy bubblers and pots and muck in the same area under 650w
hps with suitable extraction maybe substituting 250w of hps with mh

any info and advice will be most welcome !

Hi Peppi,

I ve been growing white russian for a little while.It s 1 of my favourite smokes!yes, it is strong, but, not too debilitating.Put s me in the mood for watching documentariers on tv or reading books.Nice n mellow.
As for the grow, i use 400 watt lamps and soil in pots, the plants stay short and bushy and the yields are really good.It cones up real good, too.Cutting s r also easy to take.Good rates of root formation.All in all I d say it s easy to grow, yields lots of strong weed.It s a winner!!..1 drawback tho, the first smoke can make you cough, can be a little tickly on the throat..
I d recomend "w.r" to everybody.

Hi have just been in the shop pricing up what i need lights fan etc and been looking at the seeds. As this is going to be my first grow (just after xmas) rather than wasting money on expensive seeds thought i would cut my growing teeth on some nirvana seeds esp as 4 for the price of 3. how come they are so cheap and are they any good? cheers

I've grown White Russian for a while and it is a good strain. I think the amount of stretch you get largely depends on the pheno you get but mine did stretch alot more than say PoG but that may have been the pheno I chose as a Mum.
Definitely a strong smoke tho

I flowered mine at 24"-30" and it got to 6 ft and I think I got a tad over 5 oz as a best under a 600 watt HPS which I was well chuffed with!

i only grown 4 white russian plants but they were top plants in my fav top 3 for sure very good yielding i grew them hydro flowerd them at 10 inches and the finished at 4 feet tall average yield 10oz each of top quality bud be growing them out again when i get a grow room it a nice stone 2 i think its the bollox cool.gif

thanks matey its looking like im gonna give the white russian a go ive done chronic in the past which i was well pleased with so i rekon ill be pleased with the russian if i get anything near that yield
to be honest anything over two or three oz per plant and ill be well chuffed as chips

didnt do to bad of the chronic myself the smoke was ok last grow was mazar which give a nice smoke but i had problems with lots of dead leaves towards the end i think it was nute burn maybe (not the natural dying off maybe burnt by the light but they didnt seem to be to close to the light )

fugitive can you tell me have you try topping or training the white russian i tend to do this with most of my plants to try to maximise my light ????

im gonna be using dwc and some organic with the grow to try to run a bit of a side by side comparison this grow is gonna be at a mates house coz i dont have as much space as him

Tried some White Russian last month, it was a really really nice stone which tastes a damn better than the Widow and is a much better hit than the AK47, infact I would'nt grow WW or AK again but I would give WR a try......

Mr fugitive Ive been growin for at least 15 yrs m8 ,and indoors Im on my 5th year.....
Well....My largest plant would have to be this Albanian seed I planted 10yrs ago (spring 95)
It sprouted mid March and grew and flowered throughout the whole summer until
mid October...IT WAS A MONSTER !!! 3.5 meters high and 2.5 meters width , the main bud
was 1.2m long.I trimmed it and dried it over a 5week period (no curing),then I removed all
the excess stems and weighed the whole lot !!! Do you know how much I got Mr fugitive ??
695 grams m8,under the sun all summer and a MONSTER PLANT !!!
My outdoor grows usually produce the 10oz (280+g`s) you state , some strains are better giving
sometimes 400+ g`s , but as an average I would have to give you 350g`s per plant !
Now indoors I know Im not an expert and I still grow in soil , but 10oz under 400w per plant
THATS WAY OFF M8 !!! If you were doing hydro and had a Master Degree in Supercropping
I think 5oz would be tops......If you had a few 1000watters and Co2 to the MAX and the right
strain maybe you could get a bit more....but 10oz of EVERY WhiteRussian is bull

GG, i`ve pulled 6oz off Nl5/haze per plant indoors under 600w hps in 20lt pots filled wi multi purpose compost(vegged for 3ish weeks).. ive also had 4oz blueberrys, 5oz mazars, 5.5oz verywhites etc etc all in compost with pretty average veg times
You (imo)should believe it when fuge says 10oz pp is possible.

Those numbers are good towards excellent MDP , but 10oz of EVERY WhiteRussian and
400watts THATS TOO MUCH BUD & TOO LITTLE LIGHT m8 !!!!
I got 8x400watts and I get close to the numbers you stated when I take good care of them !
But if I could get for sure 10oz out of EVERY plant EVERY time I wouldnt have 8 hps`s , I would
be more than happy with 3 or 4 and less electrical bills....

Iam popping some white russian from serious seeds at the mo.

Done 10 seeds 8 have come up nice 2 lookin no good.4 look like lanky males and 4 look normal..So looks ok so far doing a diary in with the c99s so ill get back..

Go to Overgrow.com type in WhiteRussian strains and look at the
growers reports !!!! Simple isnt it ?
One guy got 300g`s of each plant and that was 2 plants under 1000watts !
It wasnt many plants under 400watts!!!!
Maybe fugitive had 1 plant per 400watts ? then I can believe it !

Also - F didn't say every plant will yeild 10oz....

I have never had - or am likely to ever achieve that kind of yield - but it doesn't mean it's not possible..


I wouldn't cast doubt on others yield claims - fact or fiction - it's their business.... If some 1st time grower came on mouthing off about incredible yields - I might have a wry smile to myself and think...really??

GG... just check on some of the fugitives threads m8..... The guys a good grower - thats all we need to know.

My last grow was 6 white russians, each in a 33L pot, vegged for 4 weeks, flowered for 8, dried for 2 weeks, total weighed 56 ounces.

I just spoke to a m8 in Australia who uses 3x1000w & hydro , he is supposed to be the SKUNK expert of that town !! He reckons he got 18oz out of a scrog setup with ONE plant...he says its the method you use !

Ive been looking all morning everywhere for a plant simular to yours and I cant find one ! The best I got was at overgrow this guy did WR with a 1000w and yeilded 8oz....
My numbers are as follows:
Mazar........................................In 3-4ft 100-150g and Out 4-6ft 250-350g
Pozar.........................................In 3-4ft 60-120g and Out 6ft + 300-400g
Albanian?...................................Out 5-7ft 350-500g
AK48..........................................In 3-4ft 80-130g and Out 4-6ft 250-350g
Afghan........................................In 3-4ft 50-100g and Out 4-6ft 200-300g
SSkunk.......................................In 3-4ft 120-180g and Out 6ft+ 350-500g
Oasis..........................................In 4ft+ 100g+
This is all true results from the past 8 years, all indoor grows with 25l square containers and hand fed !

Okay its over fugitive.......

My main prob was 3x10oz`ers under 1 light (600w) I know you can fit lots of
plants under 1 light.....and I have had 6ft plants under 400w`s,but not 12oz
more like 7oz.......

Anyways Im still waiting for a photo of a 10oz`er thats 4ft and not scrog !
And those 3 plants in the 1st photo are they 10oz`ers....no I dont think so !

Yes mate 6 weeks veg in a 90ltr res used for a pot with pure seramis.

If you are doin a big un scrog is the way as it will outperform a plant grown normally unless the plant grown normally is surrounded with lights.With a scrog all your buds are on the canopy so they can get huge
