just a question bout my new intake extraction system.

this is my current grow box



i am going to add 4 pc fans, 2 for intake and two for extraction.
i have also bought these fan filters so no shit gets in my box.



this is where i intend to put them.



i will be using two 125W enviros one blue. one red. does anyone think there would be a problem with using these fans apart from the obvious fact they r pc fans? Also do i NEED to have a carbon filter, ducting etc or can i just use that simple design?

Dude, I am using 2 pc fans on my stealth drobe, and it work fine for me. I have them wired to a variable voltage transformer to slow or speed it up if you want. Temps are around 23-27c, humidity if fine, and the plants look great and bushy. You will need extraction and carbon filter at one point though, the smells will get pretty whiffy, Im getting mine next week.

if they are the same kinda pc fans i got (80mm), i dont recon they will cool that space TBH. ur better off spending £30 on a decent in-line fan and using that.
many ppl on here say that ventilation is as important if not more than lighting, and its overlooked.

an in line fan will keep your room cooler, esp. if the intake is indoors and in summer, and provide your plants with tasty CO2. a carbon filter will be much easier to fit too, id hate trying to fit one to pc fans!

Decent inline fan

WHERE?.... Strangly enough I was hunting for a post like this! I had a similar question... I cant really justify a £50+ inline for a small first time grow! I Intend to hook up two 120mm pc fans inline for my extraction and maybe an 80mm for intake....

Where did you get your fan filters Stoop? Ive been searching for something similar to that aswell!

If some would be kind enough to post a picture of their 100mm inline extractor next to a phone or wallet (get an idea of size) I would be very grateful.. Taaaa

Well... Im not sure yet.. Only just started vegging, the plants have just popped, not even the serrated leaves yet! ...the box measures 69cmX45cmX38cm. Not big... I figured a rvk/ruck/vortice would be overkill!
