Northern Lights is crossed with our Haze to produce a heavier set plant. NL/Hz still reaches tall heights yet dense Northern Lights style form on the long stems. The inner bud leaves are a bright lime green. The smoke has that sweet-sour taste and produces a stony yet up high. This plant needs careful trimming indoor and patience, but the reward is worth the wait!

So far this strain has been very easy to grow! My compost growing skills are a bit green and I found a batch of blueberrys tricky, with lots of casualties. Blueberry doesnt like too much nutrients and appears to be a lot more sensative to water quality than this lot. This strain is much more forgiving and the grow has been plain sailing even with my cruddy tap water.
Germination: 100% (just a little soak then straight into seedling compost)
Rooting: They took 1-2 weeks to out-root the starter pots they were in, and the root formation is very healthy. Many little root shoots were thrown and start right from the top of the compost.
Vegging: Vegetative growth has been good and steady under envirolites. All plants have shown excellent development of new heads. After a week or two they started looking ready for feed and have been on full strength nutrient schedule as recommended by biobizz without signs of over-fertilisation.
Structure/phenos: Although the strain is meant to be sativa dominant it doesnt look it!
All started out with heavey set indica style leaves, thick stems and squat stature, however some of them are now getting quite lofty and they apper to be taking a slightly sat'y appearance with longer and spikier leaves and are on the whole leaner. The taller ones look to have a slight hue to the leaf colour.
Two of the five are so short it's unbelievable, their bracts are virtually growing on top of each other. I guess these ones are leaning towards Northern Lights rather than Haze.
Smellwise they are all quite fragrant and each seems to have a slightly different scent some almost earthly and some quite fruity.
Thats about it for now, some pics follow and an update when they go into the hot room!
