Some dirty little bastard has hacked my website and stuck a fucking banner on it going by the name of
SecretlyX.
I've sent a message to the comp techie geezer but was wondering.
Anyone got any ideas how i can possibly track 'em down?

I'd love to pop around for a chat one day if you get my drift.............................

I've done a little google on it meself, and I have to confess, I don't quite fully understand the ins and outs of whats happened here, but from what I gather, the message at the top of your page is some sort of flash animation I think, and the problem arises from trying to resolve a DNS to an IP or something, there is loads more about it on that link that Raz provided.

I understand that its not something directed at you personally, but is probably part of a mass attack, and its just unfortunate that your domain was one of the ones affected.

(Incidentally, I've just visited it, and I can't see the banner. Has it been removed?)

Nah tis still there its not on the front page its on the top of the forum, soon as the techie geezer that set it up for us gets the pm he'll sort it.
Makes me wonder whether doing a bit of an online techie course might be a good idea mmmmmmmmmmm

Looks like somebody has guessed your admin password and has edited your forum skin

It's pretty easy to remove the banner, you should be able to just delete the code from the relevant part of your skin

never used phbb so cant tell where exactly to look though
a rough guess would be the forum header file or skin wrapper

Cheers Joolz just went into admin controls and deleted the shyte now i better go change me password settings.
