Hey im booked in to stay at the uptown hotel/rookies coffee shop from the 10th oct to the 12th oct,
I have booked just 2 nights cus i get in to the dam at 8.05am on monday and dont fly back till 11.00pm wednesday, So i should get a full 3 days there, (WOOT WOOT) Im so pleased as the wife was not to keen on me going by myself!! But only after i let her book a holiday to tenerife for the both of us both did she back down... (she dont smoke and is now 12 weeks gone with are first baby.But the first time we went, she came along because it was a birthday prezzy 4 me and she had never been b4)That was in april this year.
But this time im aloud of my lead for 3 whole days in the dam...YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So if anyone is around the dam in them dates and would like to meet up with a 26 year old lad who wants to get stoned or vist the grow shops as i missed them last time??Or even both) leave a post or pm as it would be great to meet fellow members..

I got the whole thing for just under £130, Dont no if thats good or not but got my flights for £41.40 and the hotel for 60 euros a night, with brekkie inc,
But i did look at going when the cannabis cup is on but it would have cost me about £100 more as the flights and hotels r charging that bit more!!(well for what i could find!!so that not to say u cannot get it cheaper??)

They dont need to serve booze as i dont drink and my m8 is just in to smokin top weed in a good place with good tunes!! ie reggae/r&b/hip hop/ or even just some nice chilled stuff, and not the trance they seem to play in most of the shops i went to last time, Oh and a pool table or board games like chess would be cool

my favourite is abbraxas just off dam square, go there and try there hawaiian haze im sure youl like it.

Mekong Haze and Sweet Tooth are superb from Barneys.
The Barney's Rubble and Helter Skelter were ok too.
You gotta go to Barneys - nice breakfast and good weed - sets you up for the day

If you like reggae then you'll love Rasta Baby just across on the corner of Dam Square .You can't miss The Victoria Hotel, just walk straight past that and carry on till you see it on ya left. The Doors Coffeeshop id opposite and so is - oh I forget - but the place oppposite Rasta Baby has very good hash.
You will love Rasta Baby - it is the most chilled coffeeshop in the Dam IMO - the selection aint the best you'll see, but you'll like it.

Im thinking that on my last day i would like to stop off in harlem b4 we get to the airport??I hear there are a few great C/shops there??But i have a bad leg..So i try and walk as little as poss. But thats not to say i cannot walk for 20min or so without a break. So if the C/shops r not to far in harlem i would like to give them a try as i here good things about them..

I do have some pay as u go sims that u can get sent free, i got O2/ Virgin/ and T mobile plus and old phone that has been unlocked to any network??Any advise very greatfull

Of the shops i bought canna from barneys was the best! damkring was cool place to chill with the lovely bar tenders and funky cat though unfortunatly had more success with the later! The bluebird sell mint tea! I had a look at the super silver at the greenhouse and it was very dry so I just bought a bit of hash there.

I got the best smoke from barneys: silver haze and caramella, Noice blend! I prefered their silver haze to amnesia and super silver bought elsewhere and it was cheaper! It had a lovely light and airy taste and high and the caramella was well nice, more like an uppy weed than hash for buzz and of the weed i tried barneys was the most resinous. The SH was 6e and the CC about 13e i think, I was tempted by their rubble, but the dealer recomended the carammela and i wasnt dissapointed!
The worst was from bluebird got some haze there that was expensive and extreamly harsh and was probably hydro grown without adequate flushing or curing.

rokerj whatever is a nice relaxed place, but cant even remember what i bought there let alone how it smoked

I dont want to sound like an old git, but on the whole i was a bit miffed with the weed cos it was all dry and dusted and doesnt match high quality skunk you get over here. i'd hoped to sample some good hazey vars to find one to grow but quickly gave up on that idea cos i hope whever i grow will blow the socks of anything i tried over there as a tourist. Or did i just go to the wrong places?

If there is an argument for prohabition then this is it; if it gets legalised we might all be smoking dusted bud ! (though i noticed dutch people buying it so maybe it's preferred there so you an still function, also i guess it makes good economical sense due to THC wastage through handling and storing the bud)

Some shops must sell unmolested buds though! still I smoked some nice hazes and hashes, but didnt get round to any indicas!

Interpolm is by the station and they've got a really cool (like 25-27c) growroom at the back of the shop.

i liked the grasshopper, but i was stoned......

I liked the Dampkring and Barneys but was disappointed with quality in many of the other shops, much of it had a chemical taste maybe due to no final flushing. I found this to be true in Alkmaar too.

I prefer Haarlem - it's a 10 or 15 minute train ride and IMO a much better place to stay. I had some excellent weed from Nol's "cannabis shop" near train station, also some superb hash - ummagumma was one of my preferences - from the Tee House, not very far from station about 10 minutes walk. I also had some much better weed from Groningen coffeeshops.

So regarding Dam, I'd suggest those two (dampkring and Barneys) and I also enjoted Bluebird and The Grey area if you can get in. Plus, if you have time before catching a train home, the Grasshopper is ideal because one has to score downstairs, and upstairs in day time there's plenty of space, no hassle, and good cups of coffee.

i heard on the news that NL are planning to "introduce measures to kerb drug tourism" anybody know what they are actually doing about this of is it just to keep other eu countries happy?

I have got my self 2 maps of coffee shop round the dam of the net so they should be of great help.
By looking at my map im near alot of coffe shops that r not in the red light arey and im away from the center of the dam so lets hope the C/shops round Leidseplein/ Rembrandtplein.
Im not far away from mellow yellow that im told was the very first coffee shop in the dam???Ist it any good??

First time i went was the second half of october an it was feckin cold m8

De Kuil is my favourite - a good bar, good weed (but limited choice), and a good pool table. Nes Cafe is very similar, but has very good pool players - a rarity in the dam.
Dampkring will give you the best selection.
The Greenhouse in the RLD has good weed and is a cool shop, even if it is staffed by wankers.
Try locals shops like Katsu - a general rule of thumb is don't buy from city centre neon/thumping music places and don't buy anything that is pre-weighed. A good shop will let you look before you buy and some have microscopes for you to view the crystals up close.

I've never been to Barneys, but it gets a very bad rep from Dam websites like www.channels.nl.

The weather'll be similar to England - where you flying from mate? £41.40 or whatever is very similar to the price I pay from East Mids with BMIBaby.

Try the Heineken Experience - whilst stoned. Just for the shear comedic value, there is an interactive section that is a blast. The Van Gogh Museum is also very good, but not really funny.
Also pop into De Dampkring for a session, see if there is any fruity NYC Diesel available to toke on and get a seat in the window - larvley!!
Nice place to eat is Le Pot au Feu on the Damrak, we had a champagne breakfast there in March & they were very friendly.

Coffee Shop Extase (in the red light) is a good place to get the smoke. Then pootle over the canal to the sensi seed coffee shop ( some reason they dont sell smoke there) take your smoke up stairs and chill in the room of bean bags and they sell good coffee [/size][/size]

My phone (on vodaphone) just auto switched over, it's wickedly expensive to call from over there though..As I found out a month after my return

I'm a big fan of the Grey Area, they have a lovely blueberry cross called (imaginatively) Greyberry. Make sure you check out the cannabis college down the road from the museum, it's got a great growroom and it's quite nice to sit and smoke in for a while aswell.

Gotta goto the pink floyd, come out of central and take a right, get to two (or three not sure) coffee shop just over a little bridge and take the road to the right of em. the floyd is about 300m ish up the street on the right hand side opposite the popeye.

I got a jock junkie hassel me and the wife the first time i went, and i was taken back abit by the way he came right in to my space and asked for some money or a fag.... he bloody stunk aswell and had like scabs all over his face......After the shock of this bloke jumping in to my face i asked him to leave but he just stood there looking at us, he was only a small guy that looked about 40, but it was just the way he was looking at my wife and the bag she had safely over her shoulder and tucked under her armpit. But im not the smallest of chaps and the skin head helped.. so a quick shout to fu##off or else and he just turned round like nothing had been said and walked straight up to the next person who was stood by a shop looking at sumit..
The bloody cheek of them, And then on the last day i got a bloke that looked turkish come over to me and just say (hello i no you dont i..) Well trying to be nice i just said no no i dont think so, but he just stood there again and said( no no i do know u from b4) This was my first time in the dam so he deffo did not know me , So i grabed my wifes arm and said bye and walked away,, but he only just started to walk behind us, and every time i turned back to see if he had gone he just smiled at me and waved .
By this point my wife who is a very nice kind person who can get freeked out at stuff quickly was starting to stress out , And as i stoped to look at sumit in a shop window he just came up and stood behind me just looking at the floor and glancing up at us .
My wife workes with people who can have mental health problems said to me he looked abit slow as i was about to start hitting him with a walking stick i had with me cus of my bad leg, She told me to just ask him to leave!! Well i did and he said ok i will but u can give me sumit for showing me to this shop i was stood outside ,I COULD NOT BELIVE IT!!!! ALL HE HAD DONE WAS WALK BEHIND US ABOUT 4 OR 5 SHOPS.
Well i was just about to give him the slap of his life and the wife pulled a bit of change out her pocket and gave me it to give to him!! so i did and straight away he turned and was straight up to the next person who was stood still long enough for him to walk over to them, And then the words.. I KNOW YOU came out his mouth
But we where walking round the red light streets when both things happened..
We got the odd person on the floor as we walked round some of the nicer parts of the dam, and they just ask everyone walking by for change(like most of r citys at the mo) But other than that it was the RLD that had the most tramps and street punks saying (psst psst u want coke,e,H/crack/ and even viagra by some chap
But on the whole we had a great time and even my wife a none toker enjoyed the city and walking round the coffee shops with me and chatting to whoever we met along the way.
