Ive recently had a spot of trouble with my grow room and ended up selling my 600w HPs & ballast and due to funds being quite literatly minimal at the moment im thinking of re-setting up my grow room with a whole shit load of fluro's...

Not the tube ones but the normal ones u stick in your house lights...

I remember seeing a month or two ago on here there was someone who had a stealth grow with citral using just fluro's in a cupboard... the results as i remember were quite good but could have been better due to the guys grow space..

Are they worth setting up about 10 of these for an entire grow ( veg & flowering ) ???

Ive just stuck some of my old beans in from my last grow and within a day and a half they're poking thru the soil jsut on my window sill... i need to get this set up on the go today if possible... Just need the re-assurance im not gonna be wasting my time with fluro's...

cheers

Buy another HID light & grow some proper weed.

bish i know what ya saying mate... going from a 600watt hid to fluro's is a well shitty thing to do but it all comes down to the £££...
i mean eventually im gonna get another one but due to the folks disagreeing with such a huge setup as what i had last time i gotta make this one is much more stealthy which means i gotta really stash this grow away in a cubpoard or something....

I have got a 70watt Hid which i first bought when i started growing but i know for a fact i cant really grow much under that... before i had 12 plants on the grow.. now i think i can only do about 2 maybe 4 if im really lucky.. lol.gif

Would maybe a 70watt hid + about 4 fluros do the trick....

See what im basically saying is, its gotta be hidden and its gotta be cheap.. preferably using what i got already...

Having 70w HID in there is definitely better than just energy savers!

Skinny_Jimmy
hmmmm... bish your so right... dunno why i asked this question really... lol.gif.. i knew the answer, just needed to ask it to re-assure myself....

well im gonna shut up and get on with it... should have pics up later tonight.. wink.gif

cheers bish, and thanks uk420 for always being here... I love this place... smoke.gif

Hi Skinny Jimmy

Below is a couple of shots of the result of a recent grow i did using 1x 70W HPS & 2x 20W Cfl's. Total of 110W
[attachmentid=45364]
[attachmentid=45365]

Strain was Nirvana Afgaan (cutting) vegged for 33 days, flowered for 58 days

Wet weight was 214g
Dry weight was 43g

Small by most peoples standards (probably ?) But i was pleased as punch m8 smoke.gif

Therefore i say have a go with the 70W & flouro's

Best of luck whatever you go with m8

Keep on growing wink.gif

Nah seriously i use 70w of cfl does a neat job of vegging ive seen some quite good weed grown under cfls with the right technique plus with the added bonus of the 70w hps your away wink.gif

Go for it i say & good luck yinyang.gif

Them pictures are seriously re-assuring!!!! Ive actually left the setup designing for another week.. Im thinking maybe to buy a red enviro for flowering as Im kinda liking what im reading and seeing about them.

Problem with the 70watt HPS i have is its fecking huuge! And i dunno if i got a wardrobe or something that'll be 'safe' enough to have a HPS in without burning my shed down..lol.gif..

I gotta pull my finger out soon and get this sorted coz im seriously hating having gone back to my dealer... Sooner i get this sorted the better and i can have a proper spliff!!! spliff.gif

Cheers for the comments and pics guys... I feel like i have to get this sorted today!!

did you get it sorted sj?....buy up a red enviro/heck a bluey as well and you wont be dissapointed.....

all them myths that you get feck all unless you got high power lights is fading now quite a bit into the distance(i can just make out a small light still though)....theres always gonna be haters of em.

but if you havent got a lot of dough..and want a reasonable yield....you wont go far wrong with enviros/cfs/flouros... smoke.gif

it can be done. whistling.gif
prettyasbouff
thats what can be done with 2 enviros...and a few low energy tubes/cfs..... guitar.gif

and theyre over 30 days from chop.........roughly

Think you should be pretty much OK with what has been said already.
Not my style, mate. Wish I could help.

CF's work in small spaces, check my sigs. BUT they are a pain in the arse. 1 big light is a SHITLOAD less hassle than 10 little ones.
