Hi Y'all, hoping somebody could give me a wee bit of advice on light movers, i'm thinking of doubling my capacity by running an additional 6 ft nft tank parallel to my current tank, if i have a 600w hps on a rail running the length of the 2 tanks i will have a considerably larger yield than i do now.....the problem is that these buggers cost a feckin fortune, and im not willing to pay £170!!!

Is there an alternative to this or is there somewhere cheap or should i build my own?

2x 6ft tanks?

surely 2 600w lamps would sit nicely over the top of 2x 6 foot tanks, without the need for rails?

Good lamps, allied to good reflectors (pro-ultralite for instance) would cover the 2sq metres nicely I reckon.

Light movers just add another complication to an otherwise already complicated issue but thats just my opinion of course!

Either way, good luck! yinyang.gif

BUMP 1eye.gif Is there anyone here who is using a light mover at the moment unsure.gif if so how do ya like it? If anyone has ANY experience with light movers all coments welcome guitar.gif I have a room that's 10x8x7, I was running 2 600w but I couldn't control the heat, the room is in my loft. So I was standing in their today wondering how I could maximize the space, and then bangin.gif it hit me, a light mover ph34r.gif

Hydronaut always uses light movers and swears by them. I have tested a 6 foot linear light mover, but it didn't really fit the profile of the strains I prefer to grow, and I prefer twin mixed hid light sources. But definately extended the available area sideways, I would prefer a vertical extension, vicar. It could be a good idea to run a single 600w HPS on a mover in your situation.

My personal dream has always been a three armed sun circle, 2 MH to 1 HPS.. and a rocket ship.
