hi thanks for your speedy reply, i was thinking more of those plastic patches, that the doc gives you when the pain is so bad, you cant get to your local medi grower or he/she has been nicked.
moscow sieges? scarey, bless yer heart xxx

Try a Google, there'll be loads on it.
Fentanyl is a high end Opioid pain killer, super league class A drug. Lifesaver if your pain is in that ball-park. Stronger than most others including Morphine (and perhaps Diamorphine) in Analgesic terms, I believe.
Your friend must be in excruciating and chronic (24/7) pain. So sorry to hear it, hope they get some relief soon.
Edit to add: I do not have MS, I know. But I do have Chronic pain so felt able to answer

All the Best.

thank you for your reply arnold, ive read some of your posts and your not having too good a time of it yourself.
is the fact that she is now dependent on a class A, proof that cannabis is a gateway drug, or in this case, the lack of cannabis.
take care

Neither M8, its proof that she is in pain!

Does ganja really relieve the pain as much as Fentanyl? I find its a mixture of Ganja and Pharma that tends to hit the spot best. But each one is an individual, so the mix and doseage is going to vary in every case.
Just glad I am not at the Fentanyl-requiring stage - that's some rough place to be.

yes you are quite right its the combination of the two , along with gabapentin, she was only put on fentanyl as an alternate to organic weed when the supply stopped.
its been very good so far, the main drawback , is its a one way street, which was made clear to us by the chronic pain team at edith cavell. Physical dependency is something we will just have to live with. Our organic supply is back on tap again and our doctors, social workers and support network are all aware of her use and self medication, i believe the balance to be about right , her weed consumption has now leveled at about 25% of what it was before the fentanyl. ( thats what the scales are for mlud! )
i dont think its just about ms arnold , after all the chronic pain people took over when the neuroligists had all but given up.

Approximatly 80 times analgesic value of morphine. I was on the 50mcg/hr patch every 2 days for 2 years. yes a trully heavy hitter but the stuff turned me into a frellen zombie. i then elected to go the spinal cord stimulator route to help and also to allow me to go to another lower narcotic. Please be quite sure that this is for you took me 4 months of downgrading to get off of the stuff.
RSD is my luggage. sorry to hear that you have some of your own. Good luck!
