Well, my last grow had 5 Ultimate Indica ladies in it. They been hangin' around a week or two now since the chop and are smokeable. So.... I been smoking them smoke.gif smoke.gif

Yeah spliff.gif spliff.gif I have tried theree so far. Yesterday I tried LUI No.9. The day before I tried LUI No.10. Today I plaid a bit with some LUI No.2. No's 7 & 5 are still awaiting attention. He-he-he-he naughty.gif

So Here's some general remarks:
This is one helluva strain to smoke. I mean taz.gif Awesome kinda Wow! I though Pot of Gold was very good and Mazaar excellent. w00t.gif Stand Aside, here comes the Queen of the Jungle. You grind it and the smell is so very enticing. What have we here? Oh so much promise of deep hash oils wrapped in orange skins and held in sandalwood for a while maybe. So much aroma you can almost see it rising off the heaps of twinkling crystals and flower-dust. After a while you get a grip, you roll it up. You light it and take it all the way in there. You await the explosion in your chest but it never comes. You can hold this smoke for ever and a day, no expansion, no rip-your-chest-out cough at all. And the taste is just plain delicious, indescribably so. You want more, Lots more its so very big on the Yummy factors.
So there you were, a little while you're half way down the spliff (Floyd playing sweet tunes) and thinking "here's a good'un. A last, a good replacement for Pot of Gold or Mazaar, well up there with them."
.............
Its 5 minutes later and you think "I really ought to light this fekker". PoG? Mazaar? Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha w00t.gif factor 10 Hang on, it may be a bumpy ride..... here come huge whoosshes of Indica body massage, feet first oh my! And there buried deep within it all a huge Euphoric sensation builds in the belly and a grin starts at one ear and reaches swifftly for the other. This is what other Indicas are trying to do. Fark me - what have I been doing all thses years???? Oh ha-ha-ha-ha Wheeeeeee!
And then you stand up. Huge buzzes rush over the skull, multi-coloured tinglings all around the face

Wow!

I thought LUI 10 had the edge till today. Then I tried the LUI 2 - Oh me, oh my!!!

On the med side of things. Yeah, this is one helluva hitter. Last night, for the first time in ages I went to bed without any pharmaceuticals. Just one night, so no real test there. But I shall be repeating this test, in the interests of science, for a month or so..... and may enjoy it....... and may report back at the end.

And of course, I must test LUI 7 & LUI 5.

What about growing? These were an Indica diddly-doddle to grow TBH. Usual stuff, very tight internodes and bloody HUGE leaves with "Indica" tattood on 'em. Quite long vegging needed to get the clones well rooted and branched up. They all seem to respond well to a topping and the first generation of clones look set to double maybe even triple the mother (seed) plant at harvest.
Quite resistant to rust. And even if they get thrashed by abuse and plain grower ignorance, or severe temp swings they produce fat in-yer-face colas that twinkle under a huge load of resin. I have to admit I did not do a good job of growing these for various reasons. On plants ranging from 12" to 24" at harvest I took from 1/2 Oz to maybe 1.25 Oz per plant. The clones are Way Ahead of what I've have grown so far, and if they go on as they are (thin ice, thin ice Mr Layne) should throw off a nice coupla Oz plus each at around 24 - 30 inches. Oh dear, oh dear, what shall I do? <laughs hysterically>
Oh yeah - flowering times. Well, TBH I have a rather eccentric appraoch to this. These were taken at day 60 whatever they looked like. Next lot, day 70. Then I make my mind up..... maybe even test one at 80.....

In case you were wandering: I like this strain - In fact, I may be in love with it. It has certainly taken care of my Indica needs with a huge vengeance

One fekkin' happy Big Grin Growah am I.............

So far I think I would say to anyone looking for Cannabis Analgesia - here it is, the Queen of Indicas, IMHO. Get it. Listen to the madman he whisper in your ears : You wannit you wannit you wannit......

Nice review that Arnold spliff.gif They are good these things. Because frankly i had decided i wasn't gonna like LUI. Based on nothing whatsoever except a contrary idiots feel about it. I had read she was a great yielder and decided "big yielding indica, I am not gonna be too impressed with that". And that just goes to prove what a wanker i am.

I have always enjoyed a top quality indica and have just moved away a bit recently. unsure.gif Now i'm looking forward to checking it out ( as frankly i should be about all new "untried to me" weed) spliff.gif

Because here's a review with a positive stance of a weed, that judging by the pic in the bud of the month competion, is also a great looker. I'm gonna keep my eye out for it.

cheers Arnold spliff.gif

Sorry about that justagrower M8!
MDP - always welcome, but its ahelluva way down here to the Yorshire coast!
Here's some stuff about LUI from Spice of Life:

QUOTE
The "Legends Ultimate Indica" is a combination of our two most favorite indica's. This F1 hybrid was mothered by a previously unreleased Ortega plant from California. The Ortega's heavy indica traits shone through with its' tight buds and extremely stoney finish. The father, a second backcross Sweet Tooth from Spice of Life Seeds, adds the sweet and pungent flavor Breeder Steve strains are know for.

Time for another..... why? No reason, just is........

Spice of Life is the seedbank handling the LUI. I don't think Joolz stocks 'em though unsure.gif
I've had them a while now TBH, maybe three years or more, can't recall who I scored them off though. Google suggest a few places holding them, but a lot seem to be "out of stock" unsure.gif, but not suprised!

Cheers for the info SR - I have tried breeder Steve's (nice guy) adventure mix which did not stick in my mind as great but it is a lottery with them and I remember hemp playboy (not seen him around in a while!) saying they were great and his pics of them where great.

P.S. why does Ortega ring a bell with me? was he a genral somewhere or something or maybe a football player from columbia....something about that name that rings a bell.

found it! ............ off topic deserved but he was a general of the sandanistas http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/cold.war/episo...erviews/ortega/ .... I say it is off topic but it may be possible that it is named after him?

good luck with the grow
