hi gang,

ive been doing a bit of reading recently regarding the lucas formula and i think i might save myself some headaches if i use RO water, when i restart hydro.

now, i plan on continueing soil grows under one light, so will only have the space to run two bubblers, under the other light, and what im not sure about is, i would need 60L or 100L to refill my bubs depending on whether i use the 30L ones or the 50L ones but would probably use the bigger ones.

so, how do these RO machines work? do i need somewhere to store all that liquid and how long would it take to get 100L for example?

thanks guys, for any advice, im totally cluseless about these RO filters.. bangin.gif

Hi MU,try and get hold of the latest edition WEED WORLD Issue 57 as there is an article by Judge Dready on RO which is pretty comprehensive. Hope this helps.

Some Ro filters come with a 3 gall res but you can redirect to any res you require but I would recommend using a stopcock but the subsequent dribble takes hours.

Please be aware that if you are on a water meter three times as much waste is produced as what is known as saline due to higher salts present.
Most eco-friendly gardeners re-direct this waste water to their gardens outside.

Cheers,
