hello all, im heading to amsterdam on saturday and wanted to know if anybody can recommend a coffeeshop that has some comfortable saeting like sofas or soft seats with a nice atmosphere and not too touristy

The Old Amsterdam Cafe in the red light district. A few tables near the windows and a couple of massive comfy sofa to chill in. The whole ceiling is covered with movie posters, overlapping one another. Its really cool to sit back and stare up at them, each time you look up you see more that you didn't see before. They also have a couple of bongs in there to use, 2 pinball machines and Juke Box. Friendly staff, one of the guys working in there is english. Very nice cafe, i spent alot of time in there. If you decide to check it out make sure you report back and let me know what you think. Have a good time there mate.

hill street blues has sofas but i cant say its not touristy

the Abraxas and Bluebird both have sofa'.

tbh most of the coffeeshops aren't very comfortable at all

morning mate...try stones the little one for comfort get there early tho its a tourist place but if you get there first thing its ohhhh so comfy and friendly with sofas and padded stools....have a good trip!

dolphins hav great sofas downstairs and cool decour.

i dont no if they hav their weed liscence back so stop of at dampkring or tweed kamer for sum great smoke and just buy a drink in dolphins.

its well worth checking out just for the underwater style decour.

others good comfy shops= amnesia, and er... well cant think of any, most i've been to hav chairs.
