just noticed that all my summer plants for outside(EarlyGirl) are male and the only spare seeds i have are the ACE Continental (Jamaica/Haze x Congo/Pakistan)seeds that i won in the granny pat auction. I've tried to contact ACE without success so does anyone else know if these are suitable for a UK outside grow and if so, when will they finish?

Hi tony!
Sorry to hear about the males in your garden. You are still in time to try our seeds and harvest some beatiful outdoor plants.
Continental is a mix of 2 very cerebral .. the mother line is the jamaican haze that has a very energetic high and the father is the congo/pakistan that has a great aromas and up high too.
The strain is quite mold resistant but it would be hard to devolop all her potential in your climate without a greenhouse. you can grow them outdoors and finish the flowering indoors the last weeks when the weather is getting worst. She flowers in about 12-13 weeks.
We hope you enjoy growing them! Please keep us updated in the forums!
Here's a close up of a continental female ( congo/paki pheno) passing mid flowering.

That Jamaican Haze mother line looks rather interesting! purple flowers on light lime green leaves, beautiful and unusual looking.
Can I ask, is this the same mother line used in your Nepalese Jam and the Canela Strains?
Thanks,

Bud Brother,
Nepalese Jam is a Nepalese highland X Jamaican F1 and Canela is a North indian Malana X jamaican male. They share the same jamaican father but Continental is different. It's a jamaican haze X Congo Chitral.
Tony, have a great grow!

Hi ACE,
Going to be doing some of your Bangi Haze next. Indoors in compost under 400w MH all the way using BBz nutes. Anything I should know 'bout this strain prior to grow?
Cheers, EmB.

Hi Embalmer! I will be growing out some Bangi Haze seeds myself in a few months time. Really looking forward to growing this strain. I have some Silver Haze going into flower in a couple of weeks time. I will start the Bangi as soon as the Silver Haze is finished. I will also be growing in compost with MH and BBz nutes. Let us know how you get on.
Good luck with you're grow.

ACE is on a holiday at the moment back around anyday now and also a little tied up with the conservation work. The Haze will need lead boots for when you sample, those Congos go UP.. I cannot find words to do justice to these genetics, im in love with all of them. I guarentee you will be massively impressed;)
Peace, Q

Thanks Queijo.
Sounds right up my alley. I was advised Bangi Haze by a few well respected growers round these parts and they commented as do you. New one for me and I am really looking forward to this one. Congolese/SSH x Nepalese Ra,Ra.
Germing them now. Start full-on Grow Diary soon.

Embalmer and Cola Rola,
Sorry for the delay in the reply.
Bangi Haze and Orient Express are our easier strains for indoor growing. Bangi Haze grows compact with indica robust stems. The flowering time is reasonable short ( 9 weeks) and she works great growing under small lights.
All our strains have been bred organically and we prefer to recommend a good mix of organic composts, worm casting, coco fiber etc than a non- organic medium.
Keep us updated with news about your Bangi Haze grows!

update on ACE Continental.
sprouted all but 3 seeds, preflowering suggested that all were male but i planted them anyway. beautiful plants but still male and still not sexually mature when i pulled them yesterday. i doubt they would have finished even in the grenhouse.
got three seeds left so i'll sprout them and grow them under lights. not been a good year tbh.

tony2wheelsgood,
We are very sorry to hear the Continental didnt worked correctly outdoors in your climate ... maybe it was too long flowering for your conditions. Please let us send you a free packet of our faster strains Bangi Haze or Orient Express for your next grow.If you are interested please send us a pm.
We hope you have better luck next time!

thanks ACE, yes, i think maybe good for southern europe. lovely plant to look at, fairly pale with sativa leaves. the males were preflowering all the way up the stems which bodes well for the girls. maybe one of the three remaining seeds will be female.
thanks for your offer, i usually grow durban outside but have been looking for alternatives and would be delighted to try Banghi Haze, it sounds good. i'll pm you an address.

Thanx for take the time to reduce the size and post the pics of your Continental female.
did you grow her outdoors all the cycle ? How are the aromas in the flowering?
Looks like she's doing nice in your climate and good hands! And she is still getting good weight!
Please keep us updated! Will see you in the fair

Saturday.
she's starting to smell and i think it was towards citrus. definately some trichomes developing. she looks as if she needs about another 3 weeks but once the weather finally changes in uk then nothing else grows and it gets very wet so i will probably pull her when this present spell of warm weather ends. it's to do with the atlantic weather systems pushing the high pressure systems down over spain - so you're getting our weather! i'll cut a branch on saturday morning for you to see. good news is that 2 of the 6 cuttings i took last week have sprouted roots so she will live on under lights. might be a good greenhouse strain for the uk though.
she started life in a pot with garden centre compost and went out in the field in late july at about 20 cm height - she was top pruned twice but didn't get too bushy. individual branches with colas on each one.

Sorry to post here but i thought it better than starting a fresh thread.
I put all ten of my OE seeds into soil on the 27th June, the last one just showed sex and that completes all ten .... male!
Now my veg room did get a little hot but when the temps got to 85f plus i moved my plants out of there and into a cooler room, really gutted about this as i was so excited starting a fresh strain from seed, it's a first for me, shame as they were looking really vigorous and healthy...
Back to the drawing board i guess, no idea which strain to pick now, i may just stick to my Great White Shark mother...
Gutted!

taffy, im very sorry to hear about the bad sex ratio with your OE.
It's truely not a normal situation. Were the plants in small pots in the 3rd-4th week of live? Were the temps high during this time?
Please, send us a pm and well try to solve it.

I'd like to say thanks to ACE - I PM'd them here today about a purchase I made from another site (from which I am now banned for no apparent reason - haven't posted there in 4 months so I don't see how I got banned 3 weeks ago

). ACE have offered me a replacement - which I'm turning down as its not their fault. I'll buy it from Joolz this time as I don't feel comfortable with my current supplier - who has just started stocking ACE seeds a couple of months ago.
ACE looks like a good bunch of guys and deserve our business
