ok i've been using easy cd creator 5-ish for a few years but i've lost the disk and it didnt work the last time did a fresh install even with the xp patch i had ....so...

does anyone know of any freeware that write cds witha user friendly interface,i only need to write off mp3s to play in my car and copy music etc.
..no dvd stuff

I think Easy CD Creator is probably the easiest prog your gonna come across for converting MP3's and ripping Audio disks. Iv'e got ver. 5.5 of it but I also use a little prog called dbpowerAMP which is really simple to use and you can dowload it for free here http://tucows.blueyonder.co.uk/preview/196029.html

'scuse me m8, but if your ripping mp3's then why the freeware / shareware option?

just download nero and the crack, and then you will have all of the cd piracy power you could ever need.

it's not complicated tbh, and you get loads of options with it for back up, video cd and stuff.

good luckwith it m8, but in past experience freeware / shareware, always looks good to begin with but imo they run out of features and tend to be a bit poor in comparison to cd software suites.

if you have broadband then it will only take 30 mins to d/l and install.

not that i'm advocating you break the law in any way m8.

obviously if there is a specific reason for non dodgy software then feel free to ignore me

Ive found that winamp pro is a good way to create cds, just rip them straight off your playlist.
go pro with limewire and then choose the songs you want, right click, send to recordable device and bob's yer live in lover.

I think this is the nero6 ultra edition what we are talking about here, yeah?

Just to say, I get a message every time I boot up nero which says that it's incompatible with my version of windows (XP pro with about a dozen or so updates), and to contact ahead software for an update.

In addition to this I've also been told that having a previous version of easy cd creator installed can also mess about with your nero installation. They don't like each other apparently, so be sure to completely uninstall easy cd creator before you install another cd burning prog.

I think that Windows Media Player does Audio cds now? Takes ages though. I think you can use Alchohol as well to burn disks. I don't think it's freeware, so make sure that you've got a licence before you download it from limewire or whatever .........

id start with unistalling Adaptecs Easy CD Cremator then get yourself a copy of Nero 6 Ultra Edit. and Alcohol 120% for real piracy needs

dont burn at the fastest speeds, and if in doubt use DOA/96
