Massively Multiplayer Online Role Play Game
Never got into em myself, whenever I've tryed one I've always managed to get murdered or robbed by some level 8000 git that hasn't left the game (or his bedroom) since he got it (but part of me knows all too well that if I actually get a taste for it, I'll be that git lurking around getting a stupidly powerful character eventually...)

Dunno if it's the same kinda thing, but World of Warcraft looks kinda nice (but I'm a fan of the warcraft real time strategy games, so I may be biased). Star Wars Galaxies has been being raved about too.

Star wars galaxis? I got the Star wars battle ground yesterday. (AOE3). Fuckin dynamite. Is SW Galaxies the one where you need a fancy AGP graphics card? Only I fucked mine on Sunday.

I'm surprised "World of Warcraft" hasnt been mentioned as it should be a better game than Guild Wars (well 800,000 gamers cannot be wrong), i used to play Star Wars Galaxies and this is a very good MMORPG and a tokers game as well

*Grins* nah was just wondering what shards and characters you played ! Been playing for nearly 7 years myself, Europa, Drach, Chesapeake, Catskills and Siege. Mainly Europa though since i gave up and returned 16 months ago.
Should try dropping wrestling in favour of a weapon skill and a spell channel weapon. More kill potential !

Definetly better. Pre cast explosion, hit em with a special move like infectious strike and follow up with a explosion / flamestrike ... toast ... beats only being able to disarm with wrestling.
Bring back old skool tank mages i say !
Tactics and anatomy leave for the pure dexer; you're not looking to kill them with the weapon; just poison them. Might want to think about Chivalry for some extra damage instead of the 60 focus, or perhaps tracking and detect hidden.
Both accounts of mine are only 62 months; should be 78 though !

For anyone whos interested, from my experience of the game, guild wars is different to most other MMORPGs in that a low lvl character could quite easily beat a higher lvl character in Player vs Player combat as long as they have the right skills selected.
Apparently, its similar to Magic: The Gathering, in that you have hundreds of skills but can only take eight onto the battlefield with you.
Combat is very team based and almost like a first person shooter (if you set the camera up right), but with strategy.
Im not a very sociable person in online gaming and dont really chat, but the game will set you up with random allies if you wish, and I never have much problem finding a party to go out travelling, even if you prefer going solo, henchmen are available at every outpost and dont require paying, all they take is their share of loot, which is assigned to players as it is dropped, so your stuff cant be stolen.
This is my first foray into online adventuring, apart from messing about with MUD's a few years ago, all in all I would say it is a very good game, graphics are brilliant, the control system is nearly perfect and the possibilities are nearly endless.
by the way, the map is absolutely MASSIVE! the biggest Ive ever seen, all completely explorable and ranging from vast deserts to lush jungles to frosty mountain peaks.
sorry for going on, ive been playing it quite a bit recently....

Wishing I could have a go on these. However, from past experience I spend every spare moment on them! Until a drip is fitted to my computer to feed me with essential nutrients, I shan't risk it again.
