Hi guys,

I've been through the forums but can't find the answer to this little question...

I'm using Bio Bizz Grow and Bloom. I have seen OT's and the official regime but when should I actually start to use Bio Bizz Grow when vegging my plants?

Should I use it from week 1, from the middle of the vegging period or not until I actually go to 12/12?

Help!

Cheers,

OK thanks Letsgetmashed smoke.gif

I'm using Westland Organic compost with some perlite and vermiculite mixed into it.

My planned veg period is 6 weeks so maybe I'll give them all a feed of "Grow" during weeks 4 & 5.

Thanks for your advise. wink.gif

It all depends on how you are planning on potting them on, if this is done every couple of weeks during vegging(gradually increasing the size of pot) then there is no need to add grow untill you flower. However not being too sure how rich the brand of compost you are using is, it is difficult to say.

But as a rule you should not need to add feeds for about 2 weeks after potting on. As the compost provides for their needs

Hope that helps. If you read the post in the OT1 schedule he explains the potting on there wink.gif

I use New Horizon Organic MP compost and find that if you increase the size of the pots in small steps they'll need a mild feed after 10-14 days, depending on the particular plant. The feed i give them fo rthis is a little seaweed extract one watering and a little BB grow (@ about 0.5 ml per litre) at the next watering, but this is only when they're stuck in the same pots for more than a fortnight. smile.gif

you can really use a weak feed after the 1st week...
tho if i were you, i`d start using bio grow when you see any N deficiency in veg, 2ml per lt as a foilar spray or watered through will suffice smile.gif
any yellowing on the lower leaves is your trigger to start, of course by then the plants already started using up it`s own N reserves, but it`s better than nuking the poor plant with excess N wink.gif
like eo says you shouldnt need much for 2 weeks after a repot anyhoo, tho i strongly suspect your growing medium may require the plants to be fed slightly earlier...
good luck with your grow m8 thumbsup.gif

I dont touch the Bio-Bizz grow until the plants are in the flower room.

If they look a little hungry during veg I find a weak Fish mix solution is more than enough thumbsup.gif

OK, thanks guys. Your advise has been appreciated.

I may well start a grow diary in the next few days so you can follow the results. That's if you're interested of course. 1eye.gif

Hi guys,

Is there any reason why you dont use much if any bb grow during vegging? I've bought both BB Grow & Bloom
and just assumed (haven't got to the stage of reading about nutes yet) that Grow was used during vegging
and Bloom during flowering.
Obviously I appreciate that i should probably go away and read up on this, but I get the impression that a
lot of it is down to personal preference. I'm just interested why there are so many different methods.

Thanks in advance

Thanks Togs,

Is it pretty much the same for BB Bloom?

and Alg if you like your plants

Sorry mate, but is Alg anything to do with seaweed?

There's no doubt Alg-A-Mic has a place in the grow room, but with a certain set of environmental variables its likely to cause more trouble than its worth.

Like any nutrient amendment/additive, only use it if its necessary! yinyang.gif

I noticed on the Biobizz feeding schedual it says to use Alg A Mic in a coir environment but I use it in Allmix and it works just fine.
I don't think it is compatible in hard water areas with too much calcium but I can't substantiate this as I use RO water.

Edited to say I am off topic........Sorry! unsure.gif
