mate the search option is the uk420ers best friends theres a wealth of informationon on this site all you got to do is search wink.gif

but i'll give you a low down on Nirvana Hollands Hope............................CRAP! its not mould resistent as it claims to be i believe mine turned hermie (but i'm not sure). However i did get a female (?) off one seed which was good but really mate your better off getting some good qaulity seeds from a good seed bank, try the uk420 store all the seeds on there are good qaulity and at a good price!! In my sig below i have my grow diary of a HH and sensi seed bank grow so you may find some information there smile.gif

Good luck mate sorry i couldn't help you with the Rox never grown it!

Peace
HG

Rox is one of the strains that caught my eye in a "i want to grow this!" way. Problem with trying to search for info on it here is that the shortest word you can search under has to be 4 letters long....wink.gif

I too have a packet of Rox that I am going to try this year and I understand, from a previous post (sorry had a look but cannot find it now), that it should be a very good outdoor strain for our climate (I am not more than 100 miles from Manchester). So should anyone ask this question next year, then there will be a load of useful grow information.

Thanks for the replies, I have started 24 seeds (10 Hollands Hope, 10 Rox, 4 NL) ready to go outside early April. Unfortunately They have stretched loads in the first 3 days (nearly 4" tall with only leader leaves and first pair of proper leaves!). I had them under 2 20W cfls, I've also tried the windowsill but it's been cloudy! I now have them under a 70Whps remote ballasted security light about 2-3" away and a pc fan blowing them. I'm hoping they'll stop stretching now until I can repot them and bury a few inches of stem. I will keep updating this thread so there will be some info on the Rox for next year. I'll hopefully be able to afford a digicam soon too. By the way I'm struggling to find a good place to grow outside, everywhere seems too close to people etc. I thought I had found the perfect spot on a local peat bog but it's really acidic (duh!) 34.gif Any ideas?
Cheers,
Ryan

You would be better off with the CFs, the red light from the HPS will cause more stretching. Just keep the fluorescents close to the top of the seedlings (1-2 inches), and keep the fan blowing gently over them. They will be fine. smile.gif

Thanks but I tried that and they stretched loads (wrong spectrum? £2 a bulb from wilkinsons) . I would like to use both the 70 hps and the cfl's but it's getting warm in my wardrobe. I have no extraction, just the pc fan circulating air with the door ajar. I'll see how they do tomorrow under the hps and take it from there. Roughly How long will it be before the plants have rooted the pots (5cm seed tray divisions) so I can bury the stems in bigger pots?
Thanks,
Ryan

well mate to get a decent grow outdoors you should have your soil ready prepared. 34.gif

Its not as easy as to plant em anywhere. The soil has got to be decent or the plants will just struggle. wink.gif

Unless you are lucky and find good soil with good drainage wink.gif

You can repot the young uns now mate and bury the stem and you'll probably find that they wont stretch as much even under the floro's. wink.gif

I'm going to dig a hole for each plant and tip a grow bag in each hole. By the way I'm planting out in a month or so (early May not April! I forgot what month it was!)

dont just dig holes and fill em mate cos if the soil is solid round it all the rain will just sit in the holes you dug.Dig a bigger area to spread the water out so it dont get water logged. wink.gif

click here mate for a few pointers wink.gif
