Having had Sensi's Skunk No.1 in my grow for the last 6 or 7 years, I was sad to lose it. So I replaced her with Flyingdutchmen's take on the strain: "The Pure".
Now if you read the hype you would think these two would be very similar.

Well, I am 11 days into 12/12 with a pack of "the Pure" and this is very different from the Sensis product (vin 1998?)

1} Shorter, closer internodes.
2} No stretch at all to speak of at onset 12/12
3} No smell in veg
4} Out of a sowing of 8 seeds I only got 2 females. I had only 1 male in the whole pack of Sensi's Skunk No.1
5) Irregular node/branching. Some tri-branched, some not. Also some leaf warping, but not a lot.

I will be interested to see how this strain carries on and performs, and will report accordingly.

Hello there, I am also growing the pure at present, it has been veging for almost 8 weeks now, and is about to go 12/12 flower, I would agree with everything you have said there, I started with 4 plants, unfourtunately 3/4 were male and I'm left with 1 female now, I have also tryed to clone off this one, and have been waiting 15 days to see roots but nothing yet.

She better be a bloody good smoke!

Interesting. I would never base a conclusion on one pack of seeds. But 2, and I have to begin the warm up towards thinking w00t.gif
Have to say that of the 20-odd plants in my 12/12 tent at the mo, TP is the least robust. And still no smell, what's that about - this is Skunk ?
Probably gonna knock my sox off at the smoke, just to get its own back lol.gif lol.gif

I have tried flying and will never again. 2 out of 10 germ and both males. I now use clones but we had to start again after closoing down a setup in a hurry. Stuck the old trusted DP seeds and got 100% germ using Skunk 2 Fem.

I had everyone of my seeds germinate, I cant fault them for that. The plant seems quite strong, but its the male female ratio I was a bit peed with.

Hi there Robbie, Ive never tryed that one, but I can tell you from my limited knowledge that, one of the strains used in the original makings of skunk was Afghan (I think).
