hi there im 4 weeks into veg in 5inch pots lots of roots showing at bottom a lot of the top leaves have gone v shaped and a have twisted a bit.from what i can figure out thats lack of mg so ive misted with epsom salts and will do this once a day how long before i see improvement? when i repot to 3litre square pots with b&q multipurpose compost is this going to supply mg for a limited period untill the plant uses it or will the lack of mg still show. i am going to 12/12 at about 12-16 inches what size pots would anyone suggest?

Time for a repot then aftib.

It may not be an (Mg) deficiency. It could be your humidity. Have a look here.

No need to mist once a day. Every 2-3 days is ok. If you have an (Mg) prob that is. Check the link.

All depends on how many final flowering pots you can squeeze into your room wink.gif

cheers for quick reply bish. yes i did look at one of the bits about deficiencies and clicked a link to look at all defs i think it says plant abuse at top and a green man anyway i had a good look through there and the bottom pic of the plant suffering from mg looks just like my one obviously minus the bud. the humidity always seems to stay between 40-60% is this a problem.i think ive got pot size sussed the 3 litre pots should do them all the way through, the way im thinking is they are already 8 inches in a half litre pot then in 3 litres pots they should have enough room. i cant belive i used 10L buckets on my two previous grows overkill or what oh yeah i forgot to say ive been giving phd water and im going to try ots feeding guide guide with biobizz only difference being im using b&q multipurpose and not allmix im a bit scared of this as ive already fried a few before and have heard its easilly done in allmix.

They will respond to the epsom mistings you've given them.

When you repot & go 12/12 (if that's your plan) give them an epsom dose at day 10 & then day 35 of 12/12. You shouldn't have anymore probs wink.gif

Humidity is fine.

Just want to say on this point that you shouldn't need to ph adjust your water if using biobizz feeds in compost. The compost buffers the PH to some extent, also, try mixing up your nutes leaving them to stand for about 10 mins and then test the PH. Ot advised me to do this and I found that mine had dropped from 8.7 to 6.9 after adding the nutes.

well ive repotted today into 3 litre bag/pots the tops are still v shaped and now a couple of complete fans of leafs have twisted upside down as if the stem has twisted 180 if you get what i mean. the reason i ph my water is because up untill now they have had no feed what so ever only misted epsoms once.i have some green myst humic but dont know if this would benefit them, they are definatly trying to tell me something but im not sure what.also i was wondering if there were any rules to watering after repotting?

Have a look here aftib. Ignore 'Capillary Matting', but have a read through the rest. All your questions can be answered wink.gif

Agree entirely Bish,
That's what I do every time. Always get nice healthy plants. Never had any probs following this regime.
