Hey Guys... Im now in between 8 to 10 weeks flower(closer to 10 id guess!) with Jack Herer and the white hairs that cover the flowers/buds are now turning brown,(some plants r more than 50% brown already!)... when is it ready to be harvested? I have been told in the past to wait until at least 75% of the hairs have turned brown, How long from wen the 1st turn brown will the rest follow, im on my last smoke of my last grow and im pulling my hair out, not good..! I also use an ingredient called Ripen the last week of flowering to flush it and is also supposed to fool the plant into thinking it on its last legs of its life cycle!

So really my question is this...How long from wen the 1st turn brown will the rest follow?

Ill have pix later on today when the lights come on and its good for me to go into the grow room!

Bryso... get yourself a mag or loupe, (at least x20) so you can get a look at the trics..

when you see a good number going amber... the girls ready. Once you've harvested a few plants you will soon figure out the best time to crop - its really a matter of personal taste - If you want a bit of couchlock let them go longer, for more of head high - go earlier..

Hey Laz... Thanks for that! I do have a loupe and i have looked at them, but even by the eye a lot of them are amber, but u say to pull them earlier if id rather get a head stone, yes i would very much rather it was a peaky stone than a gouger! Can i ask you to go into more detail on when i should be pulling them for me to benefit from a good head stone?...

Well there isn't too much more to say... but its obviously mostly dependant on the strain
you grow - but in general Harvest earlier if you want more of a head stone.

I recently had to harvest a lady at 5 weeks - (she would normally go 8-9.... )

The effects were ALL in the head and overall I was really surprised how pleasant it was. This was a seriously resinous girl mind - so that helped...

Don't think for 1 minute that I would suggest anyone harvest plants so early..

The smoke was nice but it was quite hollow and you could feel it was a bit lacking...


Best advice is really just suck it and see....

This is JH after all..... I'm sure you won't be dissapointed...
