i wish this were true cause i could just change to 250w for 400w lamps when the weathers hot and all my problems are over. but never tried this before cause i thought it was unsafe thing to do. what is the score guys?

hi! bud i wouldnt risk it ! i used a 150lamp to test some 250 ballasts i had and it was fine when i turned them on, but when i left one on the lamp only lasted about 10 mins then blew.
