hi, i'm new to the forum and new to growing, hopefully im going to start growing soon within a couple of weeks to a month with the help of a matewho's grown before (hopefully) anyway i was wondering whats the easiest seed to grow (keep alive) for an actual complete amateur.
At the moment ive got some feminized blueberry seeds, but there old and i dont really want to use them, my mate also says feminized doesnt always mean better so im not sure what seeds to actually buy..

welcome bud.. if you want decent seeds check out the 420 store . plenty of choice! if you already have some blueberry fem that are old then i would soak them in water for 24hrs before germinating . you got nothing to lose

I can't be certain, but I think Northern Lights are reckoned to be easy for beginners.


Your mate's right, feminised seeds are more likely to go hermie. Stick with normal seeds and weed out the males as they mature. Making mothers from known females is the best way to get more female plants

the blueberrys im just going to sell to a mate, i dont really want a commercial bud, i want an unknown one and i dont really know much about seeds as in whats good to choose, are there any that are easyish to grow?

i dont mean to sound awkward but you are best hitting the search function cos all the info you want is there.Have a read and decide where,how,size of grow,etc,etc and set up the grow before even thinking of germing any seeds.

Going hermy means going hermaphrodite - developing male and female flowers. You don't want that, cos it'll pollinate the female buds, and you'll lose a lot of potential growth as they make seeds. Easy to tell male from female, but we'll let you get them growing first, eh

Don't really know about beginner seeds, I just bought the ones I liked the sound of (Blue Widow from Fleur Du Mal) and they grew fine - they're hardy buggers, cannabis plants, you're got to try quite hard to kill em. Just go for a strain that's got the characteristics you're looking for, I reckon. Best place to get seeds online is the UK420 store - click here

....i'd just like to say that the strongest most longest lasting stone you to the bone weed that i've ever smoked came from a femminised DP blueberry seed.



But, 3 of the plants currently in me GR are the result of a femminised DP blueberry seed going hermie in a room full of mango. :|

That's the impression I get from reading round the site, bl8o m8o, so I should think again about dumping it, sounds very nice to me.

I'm on my first grow, and did lots of research before getting my first seeds. Eventually, I chose 'Dutch Passion-Oasis' and 'The Flying Dutchman-The Pure' from the UK420 shop. Because :
Both are tough, easy to grow, reasonably priced, and a nice smoke, one each of Sativa dominant and Indica dominant.
I can't give you a smoke report because there not quite finished yet, but they seem to be very well respected by the more experienced growing community. I'm looking forward to trying them for the first time.

Good tip that I learned from this site as to germing seeds is to put them all into 1 litre of water with 0.5ml of Hydrogen Peroxide, (3% conc) available from any local chemist (as well as a 5ml syringe to measure dosage). Leave 24 hrs in a dark warm area and all should have popped, if not, another 12 hrs will give you a full house.
I used to use the paper towel/tissue method, but could be inconsistant. Could take up to three days to pop.
If you have acquired more exotic seeds then you want a 100% show, this will do it every time.

alrite cheers for that, ill give that germing method a bash when i start, and yes i've reconcidered growing the blueberrys, i'm not to sure, they were really expensive seeds and i dont really want to fuck them up so i might use them the grow after this one, hopefully, take it easy ppl
