Im just setting up my grow room now and am undecided as to which strain to start with. Im gonna be using nft system under 600w HPS. But im gonna veg em under 110w flouro system. so here are my requirements

1. A strain which is an easy 1st time grow (forgiving of mistakes)

2. High THC content

3. Low level flowering smell (Cant stink the neighbourhood out)

4. High Yield

All suggestions welcome and sources for said strains are also required.

Thanks guys

serious seeds chronic...........................................
Goodbloke
Add a carbon filter and in line extraction fan to that list of equipment parko.

Cos item 3 on your list is more important than all the others put together
ygnul
Have a look in the shop at top of page. wink.gif plenty to chose from. smoke.gif

I have 2 td160/100 extractors and a carbon filter. 1 pulling air in and the other extracting through the carbon filter

I reckon a Skunk #1 is a good starter. Good smoke, seems to be able to take a fair amount of newbie abuse and there's seeds available from cheap to expensive...

Its what i grew on my first grow and served me well.

Good luck,

Puz. yinyang.gif

Yeah, I go with the above. Skunk No.1 is an excellent first time grow and your carbon filter should deal with the fumes.
My choice would be "The Pure" from Flyingdutchmen. It is the Original Skunk No.1, they say, and I have just found it to be an excellent Germinator. 8 out of 8 in 70 hours. Cheap too. And Oh so easy to grow is the Skunk.....
Tasty too.
Ladies love it as well........ need I say more naughty.gif?

Just noticed yer location - I didn't bump into you in a certain coastal hydro-store the other day did I??? whistling.gif
Only I do keep plugging this site and I just wandered.......
parko
Im far to jumpy to be seen within 1mile of a hydro store. So im guessing it wasnt. ph34r.gif

Thanks for the advice guys im gonna get shopping now. the pure sounds interesting.

I'd second Chronic,

Gonna cost a few more £'s to buy the beanz but it will def be worth it.

Won't find and easier to grow plant, huge yeilds are possible, and while the buzz isn't that interesting it's got plenty of kcik to it. Very low odor aswell.

Ive just been checking chronic out its £50 for 15 seeds doesnt sound too bad. Do i need 15 seeds though because im planning on cloning straight away.

I hear you on the jumpy bit though.
Arnold Layne
Yup. Plant the lot and select the best ladies out of the bunch for yer future Mom and clones wink.gif
First Grow? Keep with a simple tried and proven strain M8 wink.gif
parko
how do you go about sending a direct payment for the seeds on 420 store
Arnold Layne
I think you'll find it is all very simple. Nochex? Or is it Paypal? Or you can print an order out and send it overland with a cheque or postal order or cash (registered of course). Just PM Joolz if stuck and he'll guide you along.
He has to to with me every time because I am a complete techno-idiot!
parko
i can use paypal but i think its nochex and i havent the foggiest, never heard of it. Im no techno geek either, just get by
Arnold Layne
PM the Joolz - he'll sort ya out M8.
Hey, postie's here.............. Woo-Hoooo, my "Belladonna" seeds are here! Told ya, bestest seed seller we'll ever meet.......

parko
Ordered my SS CHRONIC seeds from Joolz last night. easy peasy that nochex thingy but ive heard it gets tricky when you wanna order over 100 squids worth.

So now i have an initial whopping outlay for my gear at 650 squid seeds inc

Wowser, my grow room isnt even built yet so better get my poxy diy arse into gear. Wonder if Nick Knowles and his team would come round and sort it for me, or maybe i should call ground force in as its a gardening project. Dimmock messing round in me cellar mmmmmmmmmmmm.
StonedBrittania
Hi Parko,

glad to hear it's all coming together, i'd say about £650 to get started sounds about right. Looking at your profile you def seem well prepared thumbsup.gif

good luck with the Chronic, you've made a wise decision imho.

look forward to seeing the grow diary

Gee thanks guys especially Stoned Brittania. Im glad you think ive got the right gear although as i havent finished building my room yet, im not sure ive finished.

Might be putting C02 in also thinking of putting in a 400w MH to go with the 600w HPS, but this may be overkill as my room is quite small and the table i have (gt100) is only 1m2. So 600w should be fine for that area. Ozone genny may also be in order but im hoping carbon filter will do exactly what it says on the tin.
