High got a friend who needs powerpoint for a university course, and when i search it, It comes with Office so do i need to D/L the whole office package? Can i D/L powerpoint on its own?

I have never used Powerpoint so i dont know... It seems to be on Office with Excel,Word ,Publisher,Access and Powerpoint and at 658.97 MB its a large file so to get it on it own would be great. But if i cant and have to get the whole package can i just install Powerpoint as she has Word and others all ready installed??

I know i will need a certificate and this does not look a problem, also quickly 658MB File sounds daft this but will it fit ok on a 700MB CD-R??? ph34r.gif

£199.99 for the whole package its a bit steep for a student pinch.gif spliff.gif

I got Office XP proffesional. zipped up its 400mb. Looking at it in the add remove programes - it only comes as one block but if u click on it and say change u can add - remove features.

I believe this product is free or at least it should be. We need a paperless world to help save the rainforests is my excuse.

Open Office might do a looky likey version of PPT. its a bugger of a site tho, but it is free. its at www.openoffice.org

The presentation utility in OpenOffice is probably its best component in terms of usability and compatability with the MS equivalent - I'd strongly suggest your friend tries it out (and it's a much smaller download too).
The copy of MS Office I have lets you install the various components individually, so I'd imagine if you search hard enough you could prolly find a standalone PP installer.

Edit to add: Yes Maj, a 659meg file will fit on a 700meg CDR smile.gif
