Ok chaps some real newbie talk. im constructing my grow room(size) 8'x 6' out of a wooden frame and was then thinking of just covering it in black&white. 2 Questions: 1. do i need to cover the top with black and white?
or 2,should i just build the frame all the way 2 the celing?( its a spare room celing height about 8ft. Any help most appreciated thnx

whatever, but make sure its light proof so people dont see ur lights, also needs to be pitch black during ur babies nightime

might be worth using it for the roof too for the extra reflection.

Lastburn: First, welcome!
You need to answwer some questions about your grow first. What is being grown - Indica or sativa, or both? How many plants do you envisage? Will you be dividing your room to provide Veg and Bloom areas?
If you are thinking of growing Sats, you'll need headroom, so 8 ft is worth keeping.
If Indicas only, 6 ft would do; and yes, cover the top.

How do you plan to ventilate?

Indicas.Ventilation=i was thinking intractor ground level,extracting through top of gr into loft.This ok?

From your PM I gather you are thinking of growing bigger plants? So vegging your Indicas for a month or more and then 12/12? If that is the plan (and it is a good one, I grew like that for 5 years), would keep the headroom because even Indicas can do some stretching at onset of 12/12.
