Finaly started decorating the new house and me new grow space.

It's a walththrough wardrobe that opens up into a bedroom each side. I've covered one door so I can sleep at night without it shining in my face - the doors right next to my bed.

Nifty little space-saving fan doncha think?;from every home hom-growers favoutite store - Argos. cool.gif
It's a pretty tall closet,about 9 foot I reckon so I'm wondering what size extraction fan I will need - (400W HPS)

Started exploratory drilling a few days ago into the angled part of the roof but the drill was going into the big braces of wood along the eves so I went straight up! It's old plaster hence the tatty hole...and I'm shit at DIY of course...

The hole comes out near the eves but there are modern vent pipes that I can easily fix up with some ducting if it starts to 34.gif - I've checked the neighbors dividing wall up there for any holes. shuriken.gif

I'll slap another coat of white over it all soon as the Yellow is still showing through - nice.
Theres plenty of height for the heat to go to but will I need a fairly big extractor fan to shift it?

The blue thing on the wall I discovered is a vent, found an old newspaper dating back to 1974 stuffed in it. There was a 3 bedroom house for sale for nineteen grand! Bargain!

looks a cracker of a g/r,

i dont know what extraction will be needed for the room but there should be some experienced growers along soon they be able to help you out.

are you gonna have assisted intake?

what a drobe man, excellent!!

ultra lockable and all sorts.

nice, shame i can't help about the fan. lol.gif

would recommend one out of the uk420 store, a td160 will be a bit weak for that i imagine.

also, do not vent straight into the loft as the fan will be forcing air into the loft quicker than it can escape from the loft, go straight out a vent into the atmos if possible.

good luck m8

rvk as a bare minimum i would think

I was in bed last night pondering over air intake - like you do - and I have plenty of vents in the loft.I could attach ducting to to two of them, use one for exhaust and another for intake.I could even use different sides of the roof.
The fans would both have to be in the ceiling of the closet fairly close to each other-would this be a problem with circulation? Would it be better if I had some ducting attached to the intake fan and leading down to the floor so the fresh air still came from the bottom? Would I even need an intake fan or would the exhaust pull in fresh air?
Any thoughts?

Nice grow space!

I think you'll be better off if you take some duct down to the bottom of your grow. and suck the hot air from the top.
If you have two fans you'll not need such a big vent.
Passive intakes need to be several times bigger than the bore of your extraction vent.

Good luck with it.....With all that height you'll be able to grow some Sat dominant strains if you can wait!

Right,I'm getting tired of looking at the the mutant bitch-freaks so I'm goning to SCROG them, get rid and start shopping for some other strains.

So I've got an old stair-gate and I'm going to use that as the screen frame.

I only had to nail a couple of extra inches of wood for it to fit nicely into the closet.

It's alot more secure than it looks-it can hold the weight of my 6 year old son.
It just happens to be the right length for the other end to press against the door frame.

Should I raise the shorter one so they're all at the same height?

Must say its a great looking growroom.

Once you have the ventilation sorted its gonna be a great sized growroom. Top work on reusing of the stairgate too, very impressive!

I would leave the little one to catch up on its own. Lets hope the bud aint as freaky as the rest of the plants! haha.

Good luck with it all, keep us posted smoke.gif

Like my Banana's good n' ripe.Put some green Bananas under that baby for 24 hours and they're ready to eat.

The gate was fucked anyway, besides, everything is fair game when it comes to pilfering for me grow-room. smoke.gif

A quick update:

I stopped tucking them under about 4 days ago and after 2 days the buds started to grow up nicely.

I havnt trimmed any of the leaves under the screen yet,is this right? I thought I would wait untill the leaves turn yellow and drop off and then clear out all the under-side leaves.

thumbsup.gif As long as the leaves remain green, they're doing a job smile.gif
