Please note, I don't want a lecture on the merits of quick drying, thanks. smile.gif

Got some relatives still in the house and want to try and quick dry some bud, would using the microwave stink the house out?
Owderb
no mate you will probably not smell it much at all. wink.gif

I don't advocate it (yes I did hear you Binary) but I think you have to use the defrost setting. I don't know how long for, but I think it's one of those less is more situations wink.gif

Excellent, I'll give it a crack in a mo, put it on defrost for a few minutes checking each minute. 1eye.gif

It did stink a bit sick.gif 34.gif lol.gif

It did the trick though, 3-5 minutes on defrost turning every minute, far smoother than shite I've had from dealers. stoned.gif

Just as an add on ( I know it’s too late!) but it helps if you put a glass of cold water in the microwave with the bud and replace the water every 30 seconds. This finishes it better than just blasting it.

works for me.. but I prefer using a toaster oven..
but if I am using a microwave, I like to wrap it up in a kitchen towel.

if you use a microwave do it in 20sec burst's on defrost and it'll be done in about 2-3 min's

I personally hate the smell and taste of microwaved bud, but I know when needs must, it has to be done. A fastish method of quick drying (over night anyway) is to place on the back of a monitor (switched on of course quickens the process).
Those of us that need to microwave/fast dry are at a guess still learning, I have ran out once in 3/4 yrs and boy I hate parting with the cash having been self sufficient.

That's definately me. lol.gif I hadn't had a puff for 11 months and to sit there at Xmas watching my third attempt at a grow come to harvest, the temptation was too much. lol.gif

Despite all the advice against quick drying in the MW, I felt I needed to at least try it and find out for myself what it tasted like.

I didn't think it tasted that bad. However I had smoked pooh.gif for 20 years so I didn't have much to compare it with and I'm not a cannasseur. biggrin.gif
