Smoken
Hey there I have just started a grow with 5 bubblers and 5 flo gro's all have NL5 in them and am going to be (as soon as I take some) including pictures of the grow, so we can all see which is the better method of growing and as a direct comparison I have also got 12 NL5's in coco fibre.

The bubblers and flo gro's are being run as per the instructions that where included from the shop that I bought all my supplies.

I have been told to expect between 10 and 20 ounce per bubbler dependant on my conditions, yeah I know sounds great doesn’t it 20 ounce but the proof is in the smoking

I will update soon as I only planted them lastnight smoke.gif

[attachmentid=27373][attachmentid=27374][attachmentid=27375][attachmentid=27376]Day 2

As you can see in the pics they are all looking good so far, this is the first time I have tried bubblers and they look the business, I’m really impressed with them and the advice given was great.
The bubblers seems to have kicked in quicker than the flo gro’s not sure why this is but it could be down to the volume of air the four air stones are producing.
The NL5’s in coco where potted 1 day prior to the bubblers going in so a direct comparison is not really available at the moment.

Ok enough for today got some smoking to be doing hahahaha

Thanks guys

In the bubbler and flo gro room 4 600w silverwings with Grolux bulbs and 4 400w silverwings with Grolux bulbs, I would like to have them all as 600 w but the ventilation cant handle the extra heat generated from the extra watts, I have an intake and outtake fans, which are both acoustic fans which have a 1250m3 an hour rating and my room is only 4m x 3m x 2m and with 30 air changes an hour equals 720m3.

Will be taking more pics tonight as they seem to be really going for it now, already you can see roots coming through the net pots.

Day 4

Things are starting to look good, plants are really starting to take off and appear to be growing really well, opened a couple of the bubblers and there is lovely white roots already coming out the net pots.
The Bubblers have caught up on the coco fibre plants already.

Room conditions seem to be sitting nice and steady with a temp of about 80oF when the lights are on and about 73oF when the lights are off, humidity is running in the 60’s when the lights are on and about 40 when the lights are off so all seems well.

Need to see what they are like after Christmas as I away for a couple of days

Thanks for the interest

Nice,how exactly do you run the flo grows,are they a top flooding ebb and flow type system?

yes ghengas they are and are very easy to use, with min max water marks on them......it couldnt be simpler

Day 16

Things are looking good, have had a few teething problems with the bubblers and the flo gro with the ph and the cf going to high but seem to have that under control now. I had to reduce the cf to 8 and now things seem to be more stable, so should see a much faster growth rate begin to happen over the next few days.

I plan to put them into flower this coming weekend so they will have had 3 weeks green growth.
Then we will see what other little things get thrown up.

As you can see from the pics the bubblers are twice as thick as the flo gro at the moment and is suffering a bit from too much watering I think as the leaves are curling up at the edges, I just put two airstones in the tank of the flo gro to try and give it more air at the roots.

Well fingers crossed

[attachmentid=29030]Day 21

Sorry for the delay guys, just been really busy lately.

I have given the bubblers 3 weeks green growth and the plants in coco 4 weeks green growth.

The bubblers are running with a cf of 10 (1.0) and a ph of 6.2.
The coco are running with a cf of 18 (1.8) and a ph of 6.4

Everything seems to be going good at the moment apart from how much the bubblers are drinking, they are now using 7 litres of nutrients a day.

The only real problem is on the flo gro, I cant get rid of this leaf curl (see pic) Im hoping someone will give me some much needed advice on this as I have tried a few things to no effect.

I have just finished a grow and for the first time I was measuring and changing the ph and that curling looks like a PH prob to me. Maybe wait until this evening to see what others say first.
