I really like the Shiva Skunk , it's one of my favourite varieties of all time , it's got strength , it's got flavour , it's very,very stable ( ie. virtually no variation between plants) , it doesn't stretch much , it yields pretty well , it's got trichomes by the bucket full , it's a bit of a harsh smoke when first dried but it cures up beautifully , just a wonderful plant .

Mr Nice G13 x Hash Plant on the other hand , in my opinion , is a pile of shyte , skimpy yields , weird taste , tons of leaf , didn't think it was that strong either , the only thing it has going for it is the fact it produces a good amount of trichomes , but that really is about it .

As for the other varieties I haven't really tried many of them , Northern Lights I smoked a lot of several years ago and it was bloody good shit , but I wouldn't like to comment on it without having grown it first , same thing goes for Jack Herer .


Out of the ones I've grown personally it has to be the Shiva Skunk no 2 ways about it .

NL#5 x Haze aint bad

I've only ever grown out their Silver Haze, so can't really add anymore.

Nice smoke the SH - though most went hermie on me!

Definitely one i'd like to grow out again in the future. Maybe when they sell packs of 50 beans instead of 15

Lovely strain, never tried it from compost though. One of my mates didn't like it, but then again he's a bit funny, he don't even like Hazes??? Says they taste shiite. He didn't like the taste of HP, but me i love it.

A couple of lads told me they had trouble with borg though

the strains that interest me are nl5xhaze, silver haze, and hash plant.. theres got to be a reason those seeds are 90 QUID!!!!!

yes 90 quid is called comercialisation no need for them to be 90 quid come on do you people get given your money by tax payers or do you actually have to work for the 90 quid? ? ?

erm, well i was planning to buy the seeds legitimately from my favourite online seed company, uk420 ofcourse, and i work full time, so am i still a scrounger?

id love to be a scrounger and not work but i havent found a way of doing that yet in switzerland and still being able to feed myself, or even stay here for that matter, so scrounging just aint an option... unless maybe i could become more mentally ill again, but tbh, i dont think i could really fake serious mental illness having actually experienced it...

so to ramble on... you just got me wondering if im a scrounger or a`worker...

Been growing NL5xHaze for a while now, she's a nice smoke, will knock you for 6, doesn't really smell tooo strong in the gr but once dried and bagged feckin ell what a whiff, kinda meaty is how I describe her. The yield is pretty good as well, so basically a good all rounder

Have smoked but never grown some of their silver haze, oh boy do i love that stuff, really spicey with a very nice high Makes you feel like you are floating

Edit to add that I have also smoked there Juicy Fruit and boy what a lush smoke, high is ok, not too full on so a brilliant day time smoke and the taste/smell is kinda sickly but nice all at the same time if u get me

Infact come to think of it i have prob smoked a good halve that there list, just the others aren't fresh in me memory

(I've only ever searched for high yielding Indicas from Sensi so that's all I can comment on.)

Firstly a couple of don'ts imo:

Shiva Shanti(99vintage):Absolutely awful.Low yielding,low potency,generic high,unappealing taste and smell(yes I love garlic but this sucks)the only positive was a fast 6.5-7 week finishing time.

N.L(2000vintage):Good yielder of mid potency,low odour,mild tasting buds.Would get very tall(colas on sticks)and ungainly if vegged even slightly too long and would hermie if light stressed.Besides the fact it's very stealthy in smell terms and a reasonable yielder,the smell,taste and potency could easily be beaten by many other production plants in their catalogue.

The Do's:
SuperSkunk(approx 96-97 vintage)Very hardy,excellant branching and consequent yield,8 week flower duration.Strong fruity smell,sweet taste,good all round stone;albeit more body than head.An absolutely brilliant production plant.

Shiva Skunk(95 vintage):Quite similar in terms of structure and stature to the Super,but with an improved high(more in the head)and a slightly better taste.Unsurprisingly I found all this came with a slightly longer flowering time of around 8.5-9wks.An another fantastic commercial plant.

N.L(96-97vintage):Seemingly a totally different plant to the pack I grew out in 2000.This was stout,very crystally,fast flowering and had a nice sweet smell and taste.The high was also surprisngly up for a pure Indica...finished in 7.5-8 wks.

Imo Sensi are not the bank they used to be.

UPDATE: The Jack Flash have been a bitch to germ
after 5 weeks and 10 seeds later I have 5 JF seedlings The Skunk 1 germed after 3 days in the same inviroment The JF are NOT cheap seeds Will let ya know how the grow goes with them

Ive grown nl5xhaze twice now, can be tricky to grow if stressed by heat or ventilation problems,
potentcy is v good with stong up high, good yield also, after longer than average flowering times.
Always a good idear to top this strain.

Made 1st time smoker mate puke,
after a week of not smoking any canabis i was only able to smoke 1/2 a 0.35g joint and was stoned in the nicest kinda way.
Good for summer outdoors, can be bit trippy almost like light dose of mexican mushrooms, much like the mexicans this bud produces excitment genral happyness and can make you laugh alot, but the high can turn sour people often get paranioa and edgyness, traits of a strong sativa which this plant certainly is.
price tag takes the piss!
Would love to grow this plant outdoors under glass on a good uk summer.

Hi to all. Over the past 15+ years or so, I've personally grown the following:

Silver Pearl
Jack Herer
Big Bud
G13 X Hash Plant
Black Domina
N.L.
Hash Plant


Each has it's pluses and minuses. FYI, my all-time best was N.L. 5X2 from The Seed Bank back in 1989. Light yield, but the strongest Indica out there. 23% THC level- intense stone would last for 5-6 hours. People would swear I was "adding" something to the pot. Forget about getting anything done that day! People still talk about it when we get together.

I grew the original G13 way back and good friends swore that was the strongest I ever did.

So, Silver Pearl for taste and up high. Black Domina for strength- Indica. But, too tall for my liking (and low yield).

Also, didn't have much success with growing J.H. Tried, but took to long and overall health of plants declined. Never really finished.

I can only remark on what I know.

So, I clicked Hash Plant. Nice Indica type, short and stocky, good yeilds, nice tight cola's, fast flowerer - really is done in +/-50 days (hydro), it's not ridiculously smelly. Easy to work with. Loads of trichomes.

Dried and cured, it smokes with a rich mellow taste. Its a typical indica couchlock "sit you on your arse" high.
Works nice in small doses with a coffee after work.
Made good cannabutter cookies with the trim.
I'd consider it fairly potent but not exceptional.


Seeds are a bit pricey but I was gifted some, so I shouldn't moan. But it would be an issue if I had had to buy them.

its a few years back now but I still have friends asking me to do it again
crossed it with some tai looking thingy from a grab bag from sensi and
that gave me some nice f1 hybrids to play with

Sensi Skunk is well worth a go IME.



Got some Afghani #1 5 weeks into 12/12 and they're lookin' good too so far too.
