hello can anyone help me with a light problem
ive been and bought a 400w hps(or so i thought)
when i came to wire it up balast says 400w metal halide or mercury vapour..............no mention of sodium
the light says hqi (what is that)
and the bulb a venture doesnt tell me what it is
does anyone know and is it any good
please help as my poor baby is under a tiny 60w flouro

couldnt tell depends on ballast alot of modenr ballasts can take dual hpsand m/h i know miens can ikon but liek i say each can vary alittle strange it donthave it on the l;abbeling 
A 400w ballast will power either a 400 MH or a 400 HPS. They both work well. Check out your grow RQ's. On last grow I used MH for vegg andf HPS for Grow. Nice results. Nice mind fuck. I would suggest going to 600w for better depth of light penetration. I will. for next grow. Bit f**ked at present....JH is very nice!!??,,,,,,,,,
