Hi,
I'll start from the top....

I bought a second hand hydro set-up and I was just experimenting with a seed to see if it would grow, and it has, So I need to get it into Hydro. However, I don't know how this is to be set up, and it has now got 4 leaves, The 2 round ones, and 2 that are pointing - Should it be getting nuitrients? and how much? I have vitalink Part A and Part B - Obviously its Part A to be used first......

I have a pump that stands up (With a piece of hose)
I have a long blue block - I think this just bubbles the water
Deep Tray
Another tray which sits on top with the gap down the side
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks and best regards

even a mud grower knows you've got a "2 part" nute there - they usually come as "grow" - parts a and b, and flower, parts a&b! - so when you do feed you use some of both a and b of the "grow" - moving onto the flower a and b sometime around 12/12! whistling.gif

Vlad is spot on about the nutrients. Its a wee bit early to be sticking your little seed right into a hydro table as well. Giving it loads of nutrients will kill it stone dead

I would get hold of some seed and cutting compost, leave the NFT tray alone for a while and grow yourself a mother plant in the compost under your light. Its going to take about 10-12 weeks before the seed is properly mature, and it makes sense to leave the expensive nutes till you are certain you have a mother.

Once the plant is mature, you can sex it (either by checking pre flowers, or by taking clones from it and putting the mother into a 12/12 lighting reigime - once you have identified her as a girl, you can transplant your clones into your NFT system once they are properly rooted.

There is always a risk with random bagseed though. The plant was either fertilised by a male or it was fertilised by a hermaphrodite plant, and so the seed is highly likely to be a hermie as well.

If you spent all this money on your growkit and are going to take the risk, do yourself a favor and get hold of some half decent seeds. 30 or 40 quid will get you something nice, you can pick and choose your variety, and you have more chance of getting at least one viable motherplant from your seeds.
