Thanx Bish, ive misted them with e/salts twice and once last night with a mix of both mg and maxi+fe since Monday.Im not getting my hopes up whistling.gif but i might have just seen the start of new green growth.Should i leave off the misting for now and keep running the phd water or keep misting and give them some nutes in the tank??Im getting black tips as well but this could be cos i ran some phd water thru the big blocks last night.Any advice on when to start the nutes again??Cheers!!Bav!!

I would keep giving them a fine misting of epsom & Maxicrop once a week whilst in veg Bav. I mist at least once a week & have no probs anymore.

Can't really give you sound advice on the hydro side of things mate, so moved it here.

May I ask why you were flushing the plants? Was it due to nute burn? Either way, after 2 days of pure water, you really need to get some nutrient into the tank I feel.

I've always dealt with Mg problems by making up fresh nute solution, say to 1.6EC, and then up it to 1.8 or so in epsom salts alone. The level of salts needed to lick the defficiency is purely strain dependent. I grew out some masterkush a while ago, and it took an incredible amount of epsom salts to fix.

Please dont just try it my way with my dosageges though smile.gif Tweak the levels to suit your own needs and hard water levels, in my neck of the woods it's very soft, so I dont need alot of nutes, conversley, if you are in a hard water area you have to have a higher ending EC as there were more salts in the water before you started.
Is your kettle always furring up with scale? If so this mean you are in a hard water area, so perhaps you need an EC over the 2.0 mark to give the plants the nutes they need - some plants can take a high EC, others freak out, just down to trial and error with your strains sadly.
