Hello ,
As the title suggests... Trouble is that I can only find vague descriptions of this stuff on the net . The lowryder cross bit sounds interesting , but what's all this exotic Matanuska Tundra Thunderfuck ('Alaskan Indica') stuff all about ? Never heard of it before . I'm looking for a short , early flowerer for a backup grow , could this be worth trying ?
cheers

the mtf is a much fabled ganja with a wonderful name - reputedly massively potent, and if I remember right was "lost" for a while.............comes from Alaska (anyone ever watch "Northern Exposure"?).........The Lowryder hit the market a while back, and although it sounds like fun, recent trials I've read have led to tiny and very low potency plants....I wouldn't waste me time mate! Go through the uk420 shop seeds section, and pick out a short flowering time conventional tried cross of some sort

can get a Matanuska Mist or Matanuska Tundra, both from Sagarmatha Seeds.
they are not listed in the store yet due to lack of time

Vlad, Re- "Northern Exposure" What a wonderfull, quirky, small town series. One of my all-time smoking favourite drama series. My missus is Welsh/Canadian and can associate with the humour of this 'outpost' community. Matanuska sounds a nice grow, but which of the two available (nice one Joolz) for an indoor organic grow under HPS & MH? Any reports on nute schedules/reccomendations/flowering times on this strain yet? Could not do the Hempfair due to work shit. Hope you guys had a ball.

Bish - You're a star, Thanks for the link. My missus has smoked this bad-ass variant weed when she was living in Toronto, and she claimed it to be the best HG available at that time to HG's in Canada. Held in high estime by the growers. I grow nice gear, but she reckons that this requires some serious attention as it is now available. Was going to do some Kali Mist on next grow, That's women for you. Guess what I will bew growing!!

Just thought I would bump this thread. Tried to contact the uk420 store Re: Matanuska Mist and Tundra seeds by Sagamartha Seeds that Joolz said on a previous post would be available soon. No reply as yet and no show in the store. Be interested to find out how you get on with your grow ouncyboy, indoor or out, hydro or 'compost' ?

Out of ten seeds i got six girlies which are all bushy and healthy, ive taken a couple of cuts from each and once rooted ill slam them in my nft.All the plants look about the same it seems quite a stable strain, once theyve flowerd ill select the best mother, they clone very easily which is another good thing. They are quite smelly in veg so i assume they will stink in flower.I am growing indoors vegging under fluros and flowering in seperate room under 600w hps,nft-tank 604,8 at a time, canna nuts, green fuse booster, fulvic acid,pk13/14,and a touch of cannazime from time to time.I will veg them in the tank for a week then12/12,its worth reading up a bit about this strain as apparently only a small persentage of pistils will tern brown, most will stay bright white even when the plants are ready,i found loads of info on it just doing a seach on google for matanuska tundra. As i say ive smoked it before and thats while im growing it it so strong.

According to The Cannabible by Jason King, "... it should be noted that the strain Sagamartha Seeds sells as MTF is not related to this magnificent strain. Sagamartha Seeds is more indica-based and generic." (Cannabible pp. 30 Ten Speed Press, 2001 1st. Edition).
I grow a strain of Matanuska Thunderfuck, crossed with Romulan. It was crossed and developed into a unique strain by a close friend. As far as I know we are the only people who grow this precise strain. He got the MTF plants from a friend providing the pure strain, and crossed it himself with the Romulan. The combination is an amazing Sativa, very heady and energetic when smoked, and very difficult to grow indoors. I harvested my first crop of this strain and was glad it was over - the plants were growing in the peak of vegetative growth at 2"+ a day, and took over 16 weeks to finish blooming. They would easily have grown 3 meters high, perhaps 4, if outdoors and allowed to reach for the sky. I had them indoors with a 9 foot ceiling, it was very hard to keep them growing healthy, I had no idea of the room they would require, and despite many cuttings, topings, and tieing down, the plants kept pushing upward.
Two 400w HPS, 5 gallon soil buckets, Bio Bix nutes and RO water.
Finished with House and Garden Shooting Powder.
Gooster (a great strain, I rate it 8 out of 10)
