Just got one of those illuminated pocket microscopes , still getting to grips with it (too fiddly for big hands) . Never having seen so much detail before I am new to this precision harvesting but I'm getting the hang of it In the old days (up to yesterday) I'd wait until the pistels were 50-60% brown then chop

The trics in the picture look like most are still clear but being new to this I'm not sure . May I ask the advice of the more experienced tric-spotters out there . How are these getting on ? Plant is an outdoor grow , exepcting harvest in a few weeks

Good investment my friend. Different world down there at leaf level. What kind of hit do you want? Chop at clear before end of flowering for your strain for head high. Wait a few days until they start going 'milky' to get more of a stone, or just wait it out 'til they turn amber for a total body hit. Remember, THC (head high) in the trichomes degrades over time. It is at its most potent when the trichomes are clear and degrades/changes to CBD (body hit) as they turn amber. Choose your moment.

My trich's are all milky with the odd amber coming through and I'm thinking of harvesting this weekend as I'm outdoors and starting to see bits of rot


I bought a microscope set from Tesco today, in the kiddies to section. It was £14.95, comes with light, a whole host of accesories and filters, and 100x, 450x and 900x magnification. 100x is plenty for the job and the view is crystal clear!

Wait until you see my JH's. Pure, uncensored bud porn.Crystal eye candy. Angel, depending on what strain you're growing, if the trichs are turning milky then that is the sign to sharpen the knife. If you want more of a stone, leave be until they are amber. My preferance is to chop on the turn. Magnification is a wonderful tool available these days, and a bastard to splell!

Still getting to grips and getting better at it every day The purple I'm puffing on looks incredible at 60x ! Stuck a blim of ground up rocky underneath the scope the other day . Zero trichomes or anything that looks remotely like weed of any form , possibly it's vegetable matter , presciption tranquilisers and glue with some dogshit thrown in , and what the fuck are all those weird little white bits !!!!

Hi s/monkey and all, the trichomes you show in your picture are identical to mine, been looking at loads of post about trichs and the colour they should be acording to your prefrance," clear/milky/amber", so am i guessing right and thinking its deffo time to chop because there multi coloured, anyway i started flushing yesterday with ph water 5.9 and the ec 12 and the readings were the same to day, so i was going to give it a finnal flush with just rested water and lemon juice to- morrow, didnt wright down my dates but there deff 8 weeks + into flower

I have been looking at a kids microscope that Intel made for a PC, hooks up via USB. Was gonna buy one, but found I know where I can borrow one from
