hello there im gonna be setting up a grow shed in the near future and was wondering if i could get round getting a larger fan by having two 4 inch rvks attached to the one carbon filter via a tee section i also have the silencer for the one fan so could i silence the two fans with the one silencer the fans would be set on a fan speed controller any views, thoughts, greatfully recieved

ps the fans are rated at 175m2 per hour and can any one show me how to work out the growroom tools as i cant get it to work

Would one larger fan running at a lower RPM extract as much air but be quieter?

2 is better than 1 allthough it will cost u more in readys. you could use 1 to extract and 1 to take air in when the wether is hot and 2 places to extract from is better than 1 place youll get less air pockets and better allaround air exchange

what size is youer room? L x W x H=....? times this by 20 thats the size youll need
youll need for best results to change the air 20 times a hour more the better

175 cmf will do a room 8.7 m3 if you have 2 then x it by 2. thats 17.4m3

in feet that will do a room 9 x 9x 6, or 3m x 3m x 2m

cheers for the replies chaps i just thought that rather than get a larger fan i would get another rvk and a couple of tee joints coz i already have ducting and the silencer so ill be attacing one filter to two fans and one silencer then attach this to a fan speed controler for best control do you think one filter will be ok with two fans ??????????????
