well, i built my new growrooms a few months back, and thought id post up the pics i took of the whole process, beginning to end...

i'll post a brief description with each pic...


first up, a nice big empty room with lovely wooden floors

the "medicine" cabinet...

next up... the mother box.

its basically a tomato box i bought from the garden centre, and converted

when i built this box, i initially installed 4 x 58W 5ft flos... but now its had a wee upgrade and has 6, although i rarely use more than 3 at a time... dont need fast growth in a mother box.

the mother box houses 4 x 8 plant bubblers, and i currently have about 26 mums in there, more about that later

ok.. the flower box is built of 2m and 1m 2x3" planks of wood.

and bloody big nails


the dimensions are 2m x 1m x 2m, so plenty of space for me to grow a bit of percy

both boxes are double lined with W/W plastic.

yeah, i moved the carbon filter so i can raise the left lamp higher, moved the carbon filter to be paralell with the left side wall... and i moved the Ruck 150 extractor fan out of the box, and hung it from bungees to minimise noise.

its me carbon filter (but you can also sneak a peak at my temp guage and groovy light)

digi temp guage, measures min max temps + humidity over 24 hrs...

easy even enough for a silly fool like me to understand

a big butch fan and a cool steam-free humidifier, not that i really ever need to use the humidifier

ive seen the light!!

and its 2 x 600W Philips jobbies.


do a lovely job and im very happy with them, and should be, cos they were bloody expensive

you can see my 100L per minute air compressor here.

it actually drives upto 4 70L bubblers in that there flower box, BUT ALSO, the 4 x 8 plant, 50L bubblers in my mother box...

groovy, eh!?

like to keep it off the floor for obvious safety reasons

im going to change this actually, in my next upgrade


at the moment im only using 1 of the 600Watters, and i want to use 2.

so im going to dedicate the ruck 150 to the mother box and buy a ruck 250 for the flower box.

atm, the ruck 150 extracts BOTH boxes and temps have been on the highish side over the hottest months...

well what can i say MS. Qualty job 10 out of 10.

well, theres about 26 in there now...

im not sure how im going to manage them all... but it will be fun to try, or maybe a major headache, but either way, im sure i'll learn a thing or two...

ideally i want my mother box to hold about 15 different strains as i develop my garden and determine which are keepers and which arent, so i need to master the art of keep plants small and growing them slowly under low lighting...

concerning yield, im hoping i should be able to produce quite a bit with this configuration, particularly when i utilise both 600W lights and use 4 x 8 plant bubblers like you can see in the picture attached.

this picture is actually from me sexing some seedling plants, super silver haze and silver haze.

im hoping for 15-20oz per light.

then i can make loads of hippy crack!!

just a bit about the bubblers...

i have 5 big 70L tubs with good strong lids which i use as my bubblers for flowering plants in. these are the bubblers you can see in the attached pic. each of these bubblers has one dedicated line from the 6-way manifold on the 100L p/m compressor, which in turn is split into two air lines which feed 4 x 10" airstones. the effect is excellent, lots and lots of BUBBLES

on the front of these bubblers, at the bottom, is a hole with a green tube attached and a tap so i can remove water easily and also know where the water level actually is.

i have numerous lids which i can use for flowering, including 2 plant lids for if i want to grow few plants but bigger, or 8 plant lids (which im currently using) for SOG grows. as im in a country with liberal views towards cannabis, i feel ok growing larger plant numbers.

i also have, in the mother box, more bubblers, but these are smaller than the flower box ones at about 40L in size. these have 8 plant lids installed so i can keep a good number of mothers.

all my bubblers res's are changed every 2 weeks, and i maintain the pH of all of them every 2 days, as i like to let them drift a bit for better nutrient uptake.

to empty and fill them i have a 10 meter hose which i run to the bath and a good 1000L p/h pump so i just sit back and let the pump do all the work. this garden is the ultimate in LAZY !!


no more bad backs lifting bloody heavy soil plants

so far, ive got to say I LOVE BUBBLERS!!!!!!!!

everyone should try them, theyre just so piss easy to use.



edit: making those lids, was, i admit, a complete bastard of a job grrr... i couldnt find the right size round saw and the one i used was about 1cm too small, so i had to then make each hole bigger by angling the drill, it was a nightmare of a job... maybe i should have made more of an effort trying to find the right size round saw.

where did you get the boxes from? and wat did you make the lids out of? im about to step up the scale of my grow and im very impressed with your set up, definatley got me thinking. i was going to use the nft method but after seeing your bubbler set up i might change my mind. how do the roots cope with being constantley underwater, do you have problems with mold etc? anyway keep up the good work mate.
