Thanks mickle, was running out of space on the back of my fag packet.

Would there be any way, or would it be of any use, mentioning after the calculation if your figures come within recomended limits?

Also in the ventilation bit, manufacturers tend to advertise their fans as cubic metres/hour, is there any chance that the calculator could also do that as well as cfm?
I'm not dissing Mickle, just thought that it would benefit peeps is all

What is sufficient light for a single plant? My next grow will hopefully be alot bigger(15 plants), so what would be the best light to use for this? And how much space is best for that many plants?
Thanks in advance, Nude.
If there is a better place where I can ask questions plese point me there

no m8 my room is 6 ft wide 4 1/2 ft deep & 6ft high with one 600w and a 6" fan and i just manage to hold the temp right and that moves 420 m3/hour how many plants are you growing in your space ?
Owderb
Oct 24 2006, 11:37 PM
You wouldnt put 4x600's in that space anyway mate
Ideally you need to be exchanging air in the room at least 20 times a minute so the calc will tell you what fans you need to do that
So no matter how many lights you put in it will still say the same as its not telling you nothing about temps
You yourself have to choose what light you can successfully control the temps of, if you know what I mean

You have to bring cool air in or else you will struggle with temps and then regulate the fans speed to achieve the right temps.Sometimes a heater is needed and sometimes an air con unit is needed

growroomtoolsI'm trying to use the 20Watt (100Watt) GE energy savers, you can get them for £1.37 from Tesco (with a buy 1 get 1 free deal) are these bulbs suitible for growing in terms of light output and wavelength?
Thanks.

They will get your seedlings and cuts on the go but for flowering plants I'd say no.... plants need the energy from light to grow and 20w lamps just don't do it IMHO when you want to build bud as they don't emit enough energy. Personally, I started my first grow with an 11w aquarium strip, moved up to 6 x 15w cfl's, then + 2 strips, then a 600w all in a few weeks as m8's put me straight (got 2 cooled 600's in the same space now)....
plants need light just look how much grows in the garden in the shaded bits, not big fat stinking cannabis plants thats for sure! Also if you are on your first grow and haven't read up much then read up on carbon filters before you flower!

30cm == 1 ft (Or close enough)
1m2 tent 3.3ftx3.3ft
1.2m2 tent 4ftx4ft
1.5m3 tent 5ftx5ft
It's not hard.
