sorry i can`t help mate a search of my area brought up zilch but have not given up yet.
What you gonna make dude glass cooled hood ?or do you just want the glass between the light and plants?
I`m planning too put a seperating plate in my growroom too cool temps but i`m not too sure on the best way too do this.
does anyone know of a good way of doing this?would i be better of using 2 sheets or one? i thougtt if i had 2 sheets close together then maybe cool air in the middle would help prevent the heat from getting through .
I have good ventilation already but still does get quite warm.
What i`m really trying too do is keep the hot air at the top where it can be quickly vented could this be easily achieved?
scratching my head

High there,
Most glass replacement companies will supply glass and get it tempered for you.
Use www.yell.co.uk and search for "glass" in your local area. Then ring them up and ask. If one doesn't sell it, ask them where does.
You'll find a supplier in your local area in 30 minutes this way.
About fitting the glass: I got it to fit the sides and the back, and leave a 4 cm gap (depending on size of box - what size are you using?) at the front, to allow the air to be sucked/blown in underneath the glass, circulate around the plants, then be pulled up across the hot bulb, thus cooling a bit, and then out through an extractor at the top.
I'll post some pics up later to show how healthy the tops of my plants look, even though they have a 400W bulb very close to them. This is possible by using the sheet of tempered glass.
All the best,
Trichome

Thanks Trichome think you`ve helped us both there m8.
My room is nearly 3x4ft ,i have a 600 watt,175m hour extractor and plan too add another (of the same rating) for fresh air intake drawing from a unused chimney hopefully this will be like growin outdoors inside if that makes sense.
The advice about positioning the glass was great, just curious but why is the gap at the front?
Must just say all your plants do you proud m8 theres obviously a lot of love and time gone it to them, most impressive
thanks again Trichome
all the best GG
