Hi 2-C
I bought 2 of them a while ago, and they do the job. Be careful of how you hang them though, as the build quality isn't great, and the bayonet fitting tends to break.
Are they like
this one?

Interestink! - how would they fair mounted horizontally? would the bayonet cap hold it, or does it need extra support? oooh, dimensions would be handy too.... looks like these could be a nice stop gap before enviro's

This should give you a better idea of size. It's next to a 20w normal leb.
Mine were hung horizontally, but you need support at the front. I used a piece of wire tied on and connected to the shade.

Bargaintastic! I'll be flowering underneath them tho' so may hold out for enviro's.... Bloody cheap tho! + I wouldn't have to faff about chopping holes in my reflector to shoehorn the enviro holders in as I already have bayonet cap CFl's in there. food for thought.

Do they only come in warm white or can you get Cool white ones? If it's possible to get both then they'll be a serious consideration....
hope the grow goes well,

What about...
4 25w large spiral cfs for £4 each instead of the 85watter?
Extra watts and light can be spread out much more easily.
Just a thought

These really do look like they could be the missing step between enviros and cf's (well nothing was ever really missing but they're a good extra option).
