hello mdp,
I hope you can shed some light on my prob (excuse the pun)
I put a quarter of a teaspoon of epsom salts into 2 litres of water and let it run out the bottom.
As for the maxi crop I put the recommended which was half a scoop 15grms into 2 litres of water.
As for my compost it was miracle grow potting compost I have used it all the way through
thanks

As far as I know m8 the recommended dosage for Epsom salts is a teaspoon to a litre of water. A tip is to use a little hot water to disolve the salts, then top up with cold

. Then water, or use as a foliar spray.
What's your ventilation like? Oh and by the way, those buds look a bit small for 5 weeks, have you checked that they are getting 12 hours of COMPLETE darkness?
Good luck anyway with the rest of your grow...

EXCELLENT stealthy growroom! Looks to me like nute burn 'cause it seems to be only the one stage of plants growth that's affected. Can expect some yellowing and progressive dying of leaves but not like that , maybe feed less more often?

Is that the ducting for vents/fans ?
lestat
May 14 2004, 08:51 AM
Thanks guys
G wizz I am not sure about the epsoms salts I will try adding some more. The grow room is 100% complete darkness when I go in there and close the door I cant even see my hand.
Bandicoot i will try adding nutrients less often to see if that helps.
Venting wise I have a 4" ducting running down from the attic blowing air around the plants and I have another fan in the attic sucking hot air out.
the temp with lights out sits at 21c and 29ish with lights on
thanks for your advice guys

OT1 knows and I don't, but your outake should be at least (?) 2 and a half times your intake. What size fan you got sucking the hot air out? The reason I ask, is that someone suggested to me once that brown spots could be the cause of bad ventilation...(?)
Before I forget, I do love the stealth you got going on there

A bit hot for my liking, try aiming for no more than 25C with lights on, the closer you can get your nightime temperatures to your daytime ones, the better!!!
Good luck Lestat! Hope I've helped!!!

I half a 4" duct bringing in fresh air and I have a 4" taking air out. I also made a air cooled hood which takes the air from the grow room and passes it over the bulb then into the attic.

thanks m8, it took me a while to build this and I have people in my computer room all the time and they have no idea whats hidden within!!

I moved the fresh air duct so its taking air from outside rather than the attic (temp is average 26.6ish)Good luck Lestat! Hope I've helped!!! thanks G-wizzLestat |
thanks g-wizz for getting back to me!!

Hello m8! How's it going???
Something that I learned today, thought that I would share it with you... Looks like when I said that you should be aiming to keep day and nightime temps as close as poss, I was talking about during veg

SORRY, but it's no biggie, as you'll see if you

No Worries G-Wizz!
Night temperatures should be kept above 60 degrees to prevent stress. It is preferrable during flowering to have a night temperature drop of 10-20 degrees to stimulate flowering hormones and reduce stem elongation.
How can I drop my temps at night that low as my light run through the night?
thx Lestat

May 15 2004, 10:54 PM
Cheers m8
I reckon because you are so far into this present grow, just keep things as they are for now...
As for achieving that drop that you're talking about, you may find that by running your 12/12 period e.g. 7:30-19:30 and continuing to run fans periodically during the night will do the trick, as your intake will be using the colder night air
Really do hope that that is proper sound advice this time

Yo sweet room, but i'm a bit lost. so the only intrance is behind the comp? how do you get into to water and such? If this is a dumb ? just tell me, but i am spinning with wonder trying to figure it out. maybe you could incluse more pics of the actual growroom instead of just your plants. sry i am just a baginner and cant help with your plant probs, but am still very interested about your bad-ass growroom

Hello Krypto,
Ye the grow room is behind the computer desk there is a small panel which i remove to get into it.
Water comes from the attic above.
Yes it is a pain in the arse to have to crawl through but its something I have to put up with for stealth reasons.
