hey

Im having problems finding some citral seeds... I have found one company, but Ive had other seeds from them before and wasnt happy ...

I was thinking maybe its known as something else in the UK? I cant believe such a wicked smoke is so hard to find?

Anyway.... any help much appreciated ....

Hey kisseekissee - I'm growing some Citral at the moment from some seeds I got in a batch of weed about 3 years ago, and your right it's a lovely fruity smoke. I've only had 1 plant make it past seedling stage (out of 4) so praying she's a lady.

ANYHOO I was reading through the UK40 strain database (Europe) and it mentions 'chitral' and describes it pretty much as I remember - maybe that's it?

Also, If anyone out there can lend a hand.... I really like fruity, citrus, berry tasting weed, and I'm heading for the Dam at the end of the month - can anyone suggest some nice strains that fit the bill so I can get some seeds while I'm over there, ta! liked the descriptions of BlueBubblejuice etc etc etc etc

well blow me down with a feather.... i read that strainbase thingy and the description of the breed sounds bang on... but then it goes on to say....
'the high is lazy and stoney'... ok thats a pretty broad description... but I call it 'giggly' weed.... everytime i smoke it i am reminded of the first smoke i ever had - rolling around on the floor laughing with tears in my eyes... i wouldnt say this is a lazy smoke at all, in fact the opposite



anyway.... i would love to hear how your citral grows... do you have any pics?

oooo kali... yummmmm..... didnt think of that....

heres some useless trivia: did you know kali mist is really good for pmt ? I had an ounce i made last almost a year once... it only came out once every 28 days, and it would be the only time my boyfriend would skin up for me..

sorry if that just grossed you out...

anyways... whats kali mist got to do with citral?...they arent really the same....

Hey KK - Madness! My girlfriend will be interested to hear that - she gets wicked PMT from time to time, the only thing that cures it are those high strength codeine tablets called 'Feminax'. I've never tried Kali Mist myself so that's something I'll definately be giving a go....

I'll post pics of my lady as soon as poss., it's my first grow so I've been rushing around like a headless chicken trying to get everything sorted before she gets too big and stinky! I remember being stoked to find a few seeds in that batch of Citral I had cos it was such a nice smoke and swore to germinate them one day - and here we are!!!!

Oh yeah, any ideas about strains to try and buy in the Dam? I'm only there for 4 days so time is short - I've done my geek research which coffeshops won what in the high times cup so have plans.... intrigued by High Noons Blueberry too, def. be popping there!

Try the Buddha's sister (soma seeds i think) they sell it in the Dampkring and also Amnesia.

It's a real fruity herb, kinda like cherries. Real greasy buds, you'll know what i mean when u give em a rub.


edit- The sell super citral in Dampkring too, they might have seeds for it, coz they do for some of the strains they sell.

Citral's one of my favourites, at least for taste

Homegrown Fantaseeds sent me this description: "Our citral strain is Positronics...primarily Indica...60% Indica and 40% sativa..of Pakistani origin.Strong firm buds with a mellow herbal taste. Smells like sweet lemons..Not very leafy plant..perfect for home made hash making.The high is a very mellow indica stone..pleasant daytime smoke.The yellow hair is not a stable phenotype in all plants...it is 50/50 chance of yellow hairs being present. Citral grows well in hydro and soil."

Positronic seeds used to be nice, Jaap from homegrown is doing a good job keeping this strain avaiillable.

In a few weeks i am starting a new project on this site with some new crosses, one will be an original Chitral hashplant crossed with a skunk#1, i had a chat with Joolz and we came to an agreement, you will get some more info on this project soon

Hey KK, if you're still interested - found out that Growi seeds (www.growi.nl) do Citral for 40 Euros a pop. Loads of outlets around Dam central and on-line shop. No idea what quality will be like....

Comercial trash......ditchweed seeds from a company with less quality than macDonalds.

Hard for me to talk about other seed companys, but in Amsterdam we would ignore growi seeds as much as possible.

Check Celebrity seeeds, we also have a Chitral availlable, this Chitral is a original Pakistan border plant crossed with a Skunk#1.
These seeds are F1 hybrids and come from original strains.

Growi seeds do not have any reputable genetics to start with....sorry to say.

Do Positronics still have the growshop / showrooms in Amsterdam? I spent a very pleasant afternoon there one very cold February, think it was about 1994. They didnt sell weed when I was there but there were samples for a suitable donation to the places upkeep.

If it's still there its well worth checking out, even if it is a tram ride out of the centre.
