Hey there, I'm planning my next grow (got some blue widow & 50/50 at the end of veg/beginning of flower at the mo) and fancied bubblegum as I've never smoked it (hell, never even seen it). I notice in the store serious bubblegum are 15 for £50, while thseeds are 10 for £60 - now at first glance I'm thinking the serious are the obvious choice (duh, 5 more for a tenner less), but does anyone know how good serious seeds genetics are vs thseeds, is the smart money on fewer, more pricey seeds with a better chance of a good grow (or are thseeds more money and worse genetics - that's the thing with pot seeds, it's hard to tell).
Ps I'm not questioning the integrity of the store btw - I know that's not a worry, just wondering about the relative genetic quality of the two seed suppliers.

I know this is an oldish post but I've got some Serious Seeds Bubblegum in flower at the moment , it looks like it's gonna be a goodun . One thing to watch out for is that they stretch like bastards during the first couple of weeks flowering , so if you only have limited height this may not be the best variety for you .

if you're a cheapskate like me, I can highly reommend Sensi's "knock off" of Bubblegum - Doublegum! - ludicrously cheap, and grows good bud!

One thing to say, Si from serious seeds have the best genetics i have come across, all plants are even in growth hardly any pheno tipe diffrance, very stable,SO GO WITH SERIOUS SEEDS. out of all the seeds i have grown thay have bin some of the best along with magus, green house,o and flying dutch man. i have had my white russian seeds for 3 years, the other day i thought i better plant some more seeds to find a new mum,coz my mum at the mo is a bit batterd, planted five seeds and all five came up, after 3 years i was impressed that thay still had a 100% ger rate....... love serious seeds the man is a master mind of genetics, always looking to better his plant. peace and one love to all growers, jah bless

Just got Serious Seeds Bubblegum and White Russian finishing off......I'm at the 'sample smoke' stage!!
Got to say that I'm very impressed with both varieties, especially the Bubblegum for it euphoric high. Both a very clean, clear high with positive vibrations.
The yield also looks promising but I haven't yet harvested and so can't give figures.
Both very easy to clone in perlite/peat mix in a heated growbox and a 15watt flouro on a timer giving 18hrs light.
Fully intend to keep some bonsai clones going.
Have grown two ways. As per normal in my garden and then put the pots into my blacked-out garden shed from mid July onward to simulate the shortening days. They'll be ready to reap from about mid-September on.
Also, a first for me this year when I was donated a 400Watt HPS lamp and ballast. Built a little chamber of 4 feet by 2 feet and kitted it out with a pulley system, bathroom extractor fan, passive vent and a 9" desk fan. I was going to do the hydroponics stuff but in the end settled for 10" pots and organic soil and chicken shit.
Very pleased with the results...even if I am no expert.

Lookin good - nice first post

. Oh, and welcome

, nice this thread has resurfaced - I never got round to getting the seeds, but I'm defo looking now, I'm just growing out the last of my Blue Widow. I still want to try bubblegum of some variety (looks like it's between serious or the doublegum 'knockoff', wallet withstanding), but I don't think I can resist the FDM general's daughter in the store - bubblegum for my next lot maybe

Hey Thanks a lot BooJum.
The photo I posted is of a White Russian Clone at about 55 Days since 12/12.
I'll post some Bubblegum pics as soon as they're ready.
I've tried a few strains over the years and I've got to say that the Serious Seeds varieties are some of the few that I'd consider produce 'exactly what it says on the box' type grass.
I'll get some buddies in for a smoke out soon and we'll update the post when all's ready.

Right on the button Dam.
Just grew out some Bubble from Serious, from cuts off a old BG plant grown from seeds from Si. Very very good plant to grow, smoke and keep.
Heres a pic of one of them in flower, first grow for me with everything wrong and it still produced a great smoke and a good yeild.
Heres a pic...

I've had BG only once...and it was a total mind fuck...it kind of reminds me of Cali Orange...a very fruity sweet flavor that was sort of resin heavy...you felt minute amounts of thc doing their thing...opening up air passageways and kinda flushing your head in a manner of speaking...both killer strains. Cotton Candy' also was fairly tasty more of a tripped out eching drum loop zoned stone...again total mink fuck.

Can someone describe their experiences with WW and White Russian? In both the stages of trichorme formation if possible too... IE letting them go brown - how strong is the body high? Or pulling them milky?

I've had a good old test of the bubblegum now and I'll say one thing , it's a goodun if you suffer from insomnia

. TBH this is not the variety for me , whilst there's no doubt this is some strong stuff it just sends me to sleep .

seems I was a bit wrong about the bubblegum in my previous post , the plant I was smoking at the time was hardly a shining example of the strain , it had been totally raped by spidermites when I harvested it and was already half dead .
I've just been smoking the second bubblegum plant I've harvested and it's far superior to the previous one , it got a lovely sweet taste like sweeties and a much better less couchlocky buzz aswell . Yeah I'm really starting to like this one now , seems I was a bit too quick to judge , yields are still quite low though 43g off this last plant .

One for the other side....
I've tried Bubblegum in the past in the 'Dam and tho the high is lovely I REALLY didn't like the taste - just wasn't my bag, too sweet and cloying - I like a more citrus zing.
